  1. The only thing I see wrong here is playing Cooper. While Cooper right now isn't a powerhouse, I think Bellevue would have to play them sooner than later seeing as though Cooper is going to get more kids and have better athletes coming to the school.
  2. Mike Lewis graduated from Ludlow in 2005 and is currently the starting QB at Georgetown College in Ky.
  3. I agree with you here. While Ludlow has played a harder schedule, they have hardly beat teams that they should have handled IMO. But I believe Ludlow beats Eminence and will make the record against them 3-0. Ah to be back in 2004 again. Lewis rolls right, throws it up to Lantry....... We know the rest. :thumb:
  4. :thumb: I agree with you there. Who knows maybe Jeff will develop his Change up and turn into the next Roger Clemons (sp) minus the steroids and the affairs and all that other hoopla.
  5. 1.Florida (Lost by 1 point beats everyone else by 35+) 2.Alabama (Couldn't beat Florida but is SEC so they're still better than Big 12 schools) 3.Texas Tech (Good Offense, but no Defense) 4.Texas (See Texas Tech) 5.Oklahoma (See Texas) 6.USC (Pete Carroll hates the BCS. Join the club)
  6. See now I heard his family was moving to Coopers district. Oh well good luck to him wherever he goes. Pretty good ball player.
  7. I've heard that Eminence is pretty fast. Any truth to this? Speed kills as they always say..
  8. I've seen that if the Cubs want to get Peavy, they have to give up Jeff Samadjiza, Felix Pie, and Sean Marshall. I don't mind Sean Marshall and Pie, but I don't want to see Samadjiza go.
  9. I heard that the Centers kid from Erlanger is going to Cooper next year? He looks like a pretty solid linebacker and RB. Anyone know if its true he'll be going there?
  10. Cooper actually led this game at Half 16-13. Kyle Murrell (sp) had a fumble recovery for a touchdown and had a rushing touchdown. Issac Kain made Coopers first ever field goal with about six minutes in the half.
  11. I completely agree with you there and you have some valid points. I was trying to get across the better competition part more so than what school you played at.
  12. I think competition plays a big role too in what college takes you. Ludlow plays schools like Dayton, Bellevue, Bracken, with the two tough games being NCC and Beechwood where as schools like Highlands play the likes of Colerains and schools of higher calibar.
  13. I'm just saying that at a bigger school you will have better players around you helping your numbers out more making it easier for you to get noticed.
  14. How about Randy Borchers from Cooper? He had to start a program from scratch, try to get players from 3 different rival schools to bond and become teammates, and get them to learn a new offensive and defensive playbook, not to mention do all of this with school construction still going on and Cooper not having a locker room until August. Cooper also won its first and second varsity games in their first year and have vasty improved from where they first were to now.
  15. I hope they lose 16. Then I will be able to say I saw a team go undefeated in the regular season and go defeated in the regular season.
  16. Singeltary IMO will be a great head coach in the NFL. He played under Ditka who was one of the best, and Singeltary was one of the best Inside linebackers to ever play the game.
  17. I have always stood up for Beechwood as they are always under attack, but you are completely wrong about giving Trinity or St. X a run. Here's the difference of Beechwood compared to one of these two teams. Beechwood Joe Player plays offensive line (any position) from 8th grade to his senior year. Trinity/St.X Joe Player plays Left Tackle (one position) from 8th grade to his senior year. The fact of the matter is that Trinity and St.X have kids playing one position their whole career compared to Beechwood who may have a kid play offensive line his whole career. They are just a better team.
  18. The thing with this though is the kid may get noticed, but its not going to be by bigger schools. A perfect example is Mike Lewis from Ludlow. IMO he was the best QB to ever play at Ludlow and he is starting for G-Town now. Now say you put him at a school like Highlands or Ryle or a bigger school like that and there's a chance he lands at a D2 or a D1 AA school. It's basically competition. I think Mike was the best QB in 2005 in NKY. But if you give him the talent around him that a 5 or 6A school has, he puts up better numbers and therefore gets noticed from bigger schools.
  19. Let's not forget Coach Borchers and his staff.:thumb:
  20. Romero had 4 passing touchdowns. One to Nick Ballinger, two to Brett Barry, and one to Ryan Klute. Late surge by Walton Verona but the defense held them and won the game.
  21. My mistake they did play. I think Logan will be a great head coach one day IMO.
