  1. Mike Lewis graduated from Ludlow in 2005 and is currently the starting QB at Georgetown College in Ky.
  2. I like to root for the underdog.:thumb:
  3. Ludlow 14 Beechwood 7 Why not..
  4. I agree with you here. While Ludlow has played a harder schedule, they have hardly beat teams that they should have handled IMO. But I believe Ludlow beats Eminence and will make the record against them 3-0. Ah to be back in 2004 again. Lewis rolls right, throws it up to Lantry....... We know the rest. :thumb:
  5. I've heard that Eminence is pretty fast. Any truth to this? Speed kills as they always say..
  6. Cooper actually led this game at Half 16-13. Kyle Murrell (sp) had a fumble recovery for a touchdown and had a rushing touchdown. Issac Kain made Coopers first ever field goal with about six minutes in the half.
  7. How about Randy Borchers from Cooper? He had to start a program from scratch, try to get players from 3 different rival schools to bond and become teammates, and get them to learn a new offensive and defensive playbook, not to mention do all of this with school construction still going on and Cooper not having a locker room until August. Cooper also won its first and second varsity games in their first year and have vasty improved from where they first were to now.
  8. I'll take Ludlow 14-13. In overtime.
  9. I have always stood up for Beechwood as they are always under attack, but you are completely wrong about giving Trinity or St. X a run. Here's the difference of Beechwood compared to one of these two teams. Beechwood Joe Player plays offensive line (any position) from 8th grade to his senior year. Trinity/St.X Joe Player plays Left Tackle (one position) from 8th grade to his senior year. The fact of the matter is that Trinity and St.X have kids playing one position their whole career compared to Beechwood who may have a kid play offensive line his whole career. They are just a better team.
  10. :thumb: I agree with you 100%.
  11. Let's not forget Coach Borchers and his staff.:thumb:
  12. Romero had 4 passing touchdowns. One to Nick Ballinger, two to Brett Barry, and one to Ryan Klute. Late surge by Walton Verona but the defense held them and won the game.
  13. My mistake they did play. I think Logan will be a great head coach one day IMO.
  14. I think he meant it was the classes of the 06 and 07 teams. Last year Ludlow didn't play Grant if I remember correctly. This should be a close game, but i'll say Logan and the defense win this won. Grant County-7 Ludlow-13
  15. Walton is a good 1A team, but this one won't be as close as you all are making it out to be. Cooper 35 WV-7
  16. I agree with you 100%. Schools that settle for 3-7 or 4-6 records every year shouldn't be proud of that. Beechwood and Highlands have nothing to be talked about besides the success they have. The kids give effort, they have great support from fans, parents, administration and so on... I know people have used the "R" word in regards to Beechwood and Highlands but what would either of these teams have to gain from recruiting kids. Also take a look at these schools academics. Not only do they have athletes, but their athletes take pride in academics.
  17. Yea that's it. He made some really impressive catches against Conner.
  18. Campbell is more than likely the most solid defensive team that Cooper has seen this year. They also have a pretty good WR in #25 (sorry his name escapes me).
  19. They're a first year program. It's tough enough for these kids let's not do or say anything that would bring the kids down.
  20. Beechwood-42 Ludlow-7
  21. I don't see Boone really running up the score. They get nothing out of it.
  22. Best of luck to both teams tomorrow night. I'll say Ludlow wins, but by a slim margin. Ludlow 20 Dayton 14 Best of luck to both teams and coaching staffs.
  23. In talks about Ludlow's best runningback, I'd have to say its Ronnie Banks. I know everytime I've ever watched a practice or been to a game, Banks has always worked the hardest. He just seems to have football smarts. While he may not be as fast or as strong the kid has more heart than a lot of other kids of todays high school football.
  24. IMO SK will be the team to beat in NKY 6A this year. I'll say.. SK 35 Conner7
  25. I'll say.... Ludlow 21 Bellevue 14 Good luck to both teams.
