Henry County/Ludlow Predictions
HC 21-0. From what I've heard Ludlow's defense is pretty good this year behind first time defensive coodinator Jordan Logan so Ludlow looses, but not by more than 3.

Dixie/Cooper Scrimmage
Cooper has roughly 40-45 kids with the majority of them being sophomores. I know they have a couple of seniors but not many. They also have about 40 kids on their freshman team. A lot of support from the families from what I saw.

2008 Ludlow
Check that, Williamson is a WR. My mistake.

2008 Ludlow
Shelton is on the line and Williamson is a tight end.

2008 Ludlow
Talent not so much there but numbers are always in the 20's-30's. The entire school normally only has around 300 in it. In the past though there have been kids there that could play at any school in NKY IMO.

Cooper 2008
I think Cooper could come out and surprise Conner. The majority of the kids come from Conner and I wouldn't be surprised if this develops into a nice rivalry.

Brossart Hires New Head Football Coach
I have also heard that Bell was going to be defensive coordinator at Ludlow but has gone now to BB.

Who are the best freshmen and sophomores in 08
If you're looking for talented sophomores I would look at the new Cooper High School. From what I understand there are going to be quite a few sophomores starting there.

West 27 East 14 (2008 NKY East/West All Star Game)
I talked to a few of the Ludlow seniors this weekend and they said that Coach Borchers asked every senior to play. They chose not to play because of other reasons. I am sure that Hamilton Joe will have some crazy reason on how this was all Borchers fault but after talking to the seniors this had nothing to do with it. In fact I asked them what they thought of Coach Borchers leaving and everyone I talked with was dissappointed that he was going. I see where you are trying to go with this HJ and you are totally wrong so just let it go. Your obsession with Coach Borchers, Highfield and the rest of the Ludlow administration needs to stop.

Randy Borchers named Head Coach at Cooper High School
In all honesty, I just didn't know how to end what I was saying. Ludlow has a great community as I lived there for quite a few years so I have nothing against the school or town. Just venting a little I guess.

Randy Borchers named Head Coach at Cooper High School
Yea back to what this thread is about. Borchers is a good guy and a good football coach. There are some on here that disagree with that, and people are going to say some slanderous things about Borchers because they don't have a high opinion of him. Let's let the guy actually have a couple of years at Cooper before we pass judgement on him. How he was evaluated at Ludlow wasn't exactly fair. 1. Ludlow has no more than 35 kids on the team a year. According to numbers i've heard so far, that's Cooper's freshman team. 2. He had some support from the community, but not a lot. As I posted earlier, there were a select few that refused to help out the Ludlow program and tried to veto a new weight room that Borchers was trying to get installed. Needless to say he won and the weightroom in now in service at Ludlow. 3. It has been claimed that kids in Ludlow "gave up" on Borchers. At least that's what I've been told by someone on this site. Actually if you have shown any support for Borchers at all, this same poster probably sent you a PM telling you why your wrong and why Borchers is the worst possible candidate for the job. Well I talked to the players as I know many of them and they never gave up. There were just a lot of things that didn't go Ludlows way this past year. 4. Kids in Ludlow know that when they are on a team that has 35 kids, you are pretty much guaranteed a starting spot when you're an older kid. This makes kids at Ludlow not practice hard. They have no sense of competition at positions. Now before anyone claims that I'm just a Ludlow hater, I want everyone to know that I am a supporter of the school as I am an alumni of some many years ago. I just think the situation needs to be out in the open as to why things didn't go well at Ludlow. So please people, let's actually give this guy a chance before we assume he is doomed for failure. He runs a good offense and he has a solid defense and with the amount of players Cooper will get from the Boone County Pee Wee program, not to mention some kids who will develop into studs from Conner or Ryle that have to go to Cooper, I look for Coach Borchers and Cooper to develop into a solid team.

That's about how hard I was laughing when he turned down Scott for a 1A school.

Randy Borchers named Head Coach at Cooper High School
I have talked to some current and former players from Ludlow over the past week. I can tell you that many of the players are upset that he is leaving. Coach Borchers demands respect from his players and took pride in doing things right. He always did what he felt was best for the players and the entire program. This sometimes caused controversy because he did not get involved in all of the politics of a small town. There are a few people in Ludlow who were glad to see him leave but I can reassure you it was a small number. A few town idiots may get on here and say otherwise but unfortunately they seem to be the ones that like to talk a lot. I can tell you that after talking to some people in Ludlow they are very upset with a few people who told bold face lies about him. In his two years at Ludlow he replaced the scoreboard, updated much needed equipment, and worked very hard to get a new weightroom. If the people at Cooper do not fall in love with him in two years I will be shocked. I must warn you that he will be very honest with you and you will know where your child stands in the program.

Randy Borchers named Head Coach at Cooper High School
I have known Randy for a long time and I consider him a good friend of mine. He is very passionate about the game of football and he brings that passion onto the field. He will more than likely install a spread offense at Cooper which might be a little different for things up in nky 6A.. At least from what I noticed most of the schools up there are power running teams. Randy runs an aggressive defense that gives a lot of different looks. With the potential numbers and talent at Cooper, I believe they will turn into a contender.

Ludlow Head Coach Position
I can see how it came off as confusing. It happens.

Randy Borchers named Head Coach at Cooper High School
That would make sense seeing as those teams would all be short a game and with Cooper playing a varsity schedule they would more than likely have to take those games. But I also haven't heard anything more from this.
