Congrats to all the girls that made the team. Hope someone will post the results of the game. Good luck to all the girls, especially Prisha Rogers of GRC.

She might have chose not to play in the game. I'm sure she was invited seeing as it is taking place at Thomas More College which isn't too awfully far from Scott high.

Lauren was invited to play and decided not to. It is a pay to play event which played a part. She is really focusing on the upcoming tryouts for the Kentucky/Indiana game. Those tryouts are April 15 and 16. Making that team and playing in those games is one of her goals before she leaves for Marquette at the end of June.

The pay to play has really been an issue for the Kentucky side in the past few years. Kentucky has failed to get the elite kids to play in this game and Ohio has, resulting in some pretty good beatings in the series.

It is $225.00 to play. It goes towards the player's uniform and practice gear. Players are encouraged to get sponsors to cover the cost. I understand that many times the school ball coach will pay the fee through the school funds. It is certainly nice to be invited to play, but a little strange the players are asked to pay to play in an all star game.
