December 25, 201114 yr The Bengals/Ravens game could be flexed to Sunday Night next week. We all know that if the Bengals win that they are in the playoffs, and that is the easiest way to make it. However they can also make it if the Raiders and Jets lose next week. The Raiders play the Chargers, and the Jets play the Dolphins. So both teams could lose those games, and that would also get the Bengals in. Dallas and Giants if they Flex a game. IMO
December 25, 201114 yr I know that things have not looked the greatest for them week in and out, but from a realistic perspective, who actually thought they would be playing for the last spot in to the playoffs? I know I didn't. I kept my season tickets!
December 25, 201114 yr NFL.com says 1:00 Only 3 games at 4:00 There are now 6 4:15 games. Steelers/Browns has also been moved.
December 25, 201114 yr Steelers game is the same time as the Bengals/Ravens so that one team doesn't tank.
December 25, 201114 yr Steelers game is the same time as the Bengals/Ravens so that one team doesn't tank. Is the Jets game still at one? If so then at least us fans will know how that game went. If the Jets lose, then while we are playing at 4 oclock if either the Broncos or Raiders lose the Bengals would make it without even having to win the game.
December 26, 201114 yr The paper said today, that all theree have to lose for the Bengals to have a chance, should the Ravens beat them.
December 26, 201114 yr The paper said today, that all theree have to lose for the Bengals to have a chance, should the Ravens beat them. I saw that too and The Paper was wrong. I really have no idea what ESPN and the sport media guys were looking at when figuring out the playoff scenarios for the Bengals. They didn't use much common sense when figuring it out. If Jets and Raiders lose, then Broncos win the division. So even if Tennessee wins it won't matter, because it would only be them and the Bengals tied. Which the Bengals head to head win would get the Bengals in. Or if the Jets and Broncos lose the Bengals get in. The Titans could win or lose and it wouldn't matter to the Bengals. The games that matter if the Bengals lost are the Jets, Broncos and Raiders. The key one is the Jets, the Jets would have to lose. Then all the Bengals would need is for the Raiders or Broncos to lose. These media people have now realized that they were wrong and have posted what I been saying since yesterday. ESPN has now changed it, and so has Joe Reedy the guy who posted that in the Newspaper today. So don't listen to them listen to me! Remember I am also the one who said the Bengals would do well this year too! http://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/NFL-lines-up-scenarios-for-Bengals/614afec8-3f88-4465-b141-c071c22f05d0
December 26, 201114 yr Absolutely love the effort and desire to win from this year's Bengal players. No prima donnas like Ocho, Owens and Palmer. Folks might not like the Brown family and not want to support the Bengals as a result, but I think that's pretty shortsighted thinking. IF the stands were empty all season, the Brown family still isn't going to sell the Bengals. They won't have the money to sign the better players, but if the Brown family is only interested in the money, as many submit, they'll find a way to still make plenty of money. Besides, Bengals have been clamoring that the Brown family needs to make changes and personally I think they have made some this year (most importantly given Lewis more authority over team discipline issues and got rid of the cancers which I believe Lewis demanded as a condition to him returning as the head coach). As someone that has trained bird dogs and raised kids, I always thought you rewarded positive behavior. Something extremely positive has changed with the Bengals this year. Seems counter productive to want to penalize the Brown family for the positive accomplishments this year. So at least in my opinion, if you are a Bengals fan, you need to put the anti-Brown sentiment aside and show up on Sunday in force. Become the 12th man to support the effort being given by Simpson, Dalton, Green, Atkins, Peko etc. I think they've definitely earned that support this year. Show the Ravens and the Bengal players that Cincinnati appreciates the Bengal players. Be loud and be proud. If I was a pro football fan (I'm not) I can guarantee folks I'd be there Sunday. This may seem strange, but I think there are a fair number of Bengal "fans" that actually wanted the Bengals to be bad this year to prove they were right in quitting to support the Bengals this year. Human nature being what it is, they just can't acknowledge (by attending) that they were wrong in their predictions that the Bengals would be lucky to win more than a couple of games this year. Hopefully those folks can be bigger than that and return to the stadium.

Hopefully those folks can be bigger than that and return to the stadium. Wow very well said! Everything in your post is right on the money IMO. People act like they could change how Mike Brown does things by not showing up, however for one Mike Brown is more likely to move the team than change his ways for the fans. Secondly one of the great thing about sports is every sports season is a new season. The past does not matter anymore for this season. People want to talk about how they want a winner here, well we have a winner here right now. Yet people still want to complain. We have a team right now that could make the playoffs as the youngest team in the AFC, and lots of draft picks coming. The future is bright for this team starting this year right now, it's time to get behind this team. I honestly think your last post is right on for why people are not coming, and its a shame. People don't want to admit they were wrong, and get behind and support this team. I mean I remember after the Bengals lost to the Texans, that some peole seemed happy. And were saying well this team is just not ready and just were lucky with an easy schedule. Saying now that we can put this playoff talk behind us, we can look towards the future. It was like they were happy because they didn't want to get behind a team they thought would suck. Only 6 teams make the AFC playoffs, and people the Bengals have a good shot to be one of those teams. They are a good team, and deserve our support. They are the kind of team that fans around here should want to root for. Not to mention people need to stop talking about the last 20 years. Since Marvin has been here we have been in the playoff chase in the last month most of the time. Now might make the playoffs for the 2nd time in 3 years, and 3rd time in 7 years. A lot of teams can't say that, so forget the horrible past and support what is happening with this team! I know I will be at the game again this Sunday!
December 26, 201114 yr After twenty years of incompetence, one season is not going to win the fans back IMO. It is going to take 2-3 years in a row of success.
December 26, 201114 yr After twenty years of incompetence, one season is not going to win the fans back IMO. It is going to take 2-3 years in a row of success. See that is what is wrong here! Not to mention the fans did come back starting in 2003! Which is reason why they sold every game out until 2010. Now for somereason people thought that we were going back to the 90's starting with this years team. People talked about how bad they would be, so most people can't get over theirselves and admit they were wrong and back the team. It's like they are fine if they lose because it supports their decision to have given up on them. It really is stupid to keep talking about the last 20 years too. I know a lot of people aren't fans of Marvin, and I know I been critical of him too. However instead of looking at the past 20 years, the team needs to be looked at with how they done under him. Since he has been here which is 9 years. They have been in the playoff hunt at the end of the year for 6 of those years. 2 of them they actually made it, and now close to a 3rd and 2nd in three years. A lot of teams especially in the AFC can't say that at all, so they have no been that horrible like the 90's teams were. No sense to go back 20 years anymore on how this franchise is. Believe it or not this franchise has been better than probably close to half of the NFL since Marvin has been here. People need to stop trying to find reasons not to support them, we have a good team right now and need to get behind them. It's not like this is the first good year either in 20 years as I just explained.
December 26, 201114 yr Since I'm off work Monday, I'm headed up to root on the Bengals with my Boomer Esiason jersey pulled out of the back corner of my closet ! WHO-DEY !!
