December 24, 201114 yr The Bengals do a great job of trying to lose this game but in Bengals fashion, fail and win the game anyway!
December 24, 201114 yr Author If the Giants can hold off the Jets, the Bengals will control their destiny next week.
December 24, 201114 yr The penalty on that last drive by Livings is almost deserving of a fine it was so incredibly stupid.
December 24, 201114 yr I am watching the Giants try to hold on against the Jets and I have to say, the Giants have the ugliest uniforms in the NFL. Brain cramp by Sanchez leads to safety. Ball game. Giants put the Bengals fate into their own hands next week versus Baltimore. May as well say the playoffs start next week. Edited December 24, 201114 yr by Voice of Reason
December 24, 201114 yr I guess Rex Ryan put a foot...I mean his foot in his mouth when he said the Jets are the best team in New York .

ANone are as bad as the crap the Panthers wear.
December 24, 201114 yr So if both the Bengals and Jets lose next week, what other teams can snatch up the Wild Card?
December 24, 201114 yr So if both the Bengals and Giants lose next week, what other teams can snatch up the Wild Card? Giants got no chance at the wild card. The Giants play Dallas next week for the division championship.
December 24, 201114 yr Giants got no chance at the wild card. The Giants play Dallas next week for the division championship. Sorry, I meant the Jets.
December 24, 201114 yr Sorry, I meant the Jets. Just by looking at the standings it looks like the Raiders, Chargers, Broncos, Jets, Bengals, and Titans are still alive. Could be wrong though.

December 24, 201114 yr Any idea who the Bengals would have the tiebreaker over though? No I'd have to look into it more. I just looked at the standings.
Question...why would the Jets go for an "onside free kick" after the safety? There was 2:12 left, and they still had 1 timeout I believe. If you kick it deep, and hold the Giants to a 3 and out, you still get the ball back with an 8 point deficit and probably 1:30 left on the clock. However, if you don't recover the onside kick, then the Giants are already in a position to kick a field goal to put them up by 2 scores. (Turns out they scored a TD instead, but inconsequential). I mean, it wasn't like the Giants had marched it up and down the field all day, and they had a better chance at recovering the kick. Just confusing to me. But, as a Bengals fan, I'll take it!
