Totally agree! He was and in my opinion still is the total package. Runs a true 4.5 in cruise control.

Yes. He's the starting QB for the University of Dayton. Had a great season.

 

Have to agree with Henry. Playing behind Tony Guigugli, he didn't start at QB until his senior year (but evidencing his athleticism, he started at cornerback as a junior. Not many 6'4" kids have the quickness and speed to play corner, but he did). Was having a great senior year at QB until the elbow injury in the Cincy X game. Had he not incurred the injury, his name would be mentioned a lot in this thread. Threw beautiful passes and had great speed. Very glad he's getting the chance to show his stuff on the college level.

Having played against or seen most of the guys on the list, Towles is the best I have seen since I started watching since 90. His accuracy is better than Jared's. I believe that his arm is stronger than Gino's. He runs as well as West and is as smart as Eviston. He commands the field like O'Toole. His improvement from last year to this year is unbelievable.

PT is one of the rare players that we get to see at the H.S. level where you go away saying: "He could play on Sunday some day!" His skills, size, maturity, leadership and character make him one of the best ever. I'd rate him #1 of those I have seen in NKY since the mid 90s. Truly a pleasure to watch him play.

What was the quarterback that played for Cov Cath, think he graduated in 2000. He went on to have a great career at Hanover and has played many years (I think he still is) in the Arena leagues?

True on all of those points but IMO his leadership qualities are his best attribute. I saw those when the kid was a youngster and he played hoops with my son in a pickup game. Nothing on the line and he was rallying his buddies and encouraging them like it was a state championship game. I was very very impressed. Nice to see he developed into what I thought he would. PT is definitely the best I have seen in my 20 + yrs of watching.

I played w Brett at Hanover. Very smart, and athletic. Towles is better than him physically. Dietz was very smart, but Towles will catch up to that once he increases his film work at UK

#1 hands down for me. Never seen anything like him in NKY.

When he throws for over 10,000 yards in division 1, he can be mentioned in the same convo as Guidugli and Lorenzen. I highly doubt a walk-on could do that.

1. Lorenzen- HHS- Because he has proven more thus far.

2. Towles- HHS- Because he has it all and his pedigree will allow him to likely play on Sundays. (Heaven forbid he stays healthy at UK)

3. Eviston- NCC-He was a Winner and did it with is feet and arm.

4. Guidugli- HHS- He was a winner as well and had great career at UC.

5. McCormick- CovCath

 

If that is the criteria, then you would have to rank CovCath's Brett Dietz pretty high too
