I can go back quite a ways in NKY history and I was thinking this weekend about PT's place in it.

I've got him as the best qb going back to the 70s.

Thoughts?

3. Guidugli

4. Pike

5. Toss up...McCormick, Grogan, Hergott, West, Hightchew, Eviston etc...

Patrick Towles is the best quarterback I have seen. He has it all. Size, arm strength, speed, power and intelligence. Add to that the fact that he is humble and respectful and you have it all.

I know it's quite Blasphemous but I'd have to go like this for my top 5:

1. Towles-HHS

2. Guidugli-HHS

3. Lorenzen-HHS

4. McCormick-COV CATH

5. Eviston-NCC

Pike? Not seeing anything there that would call for a top 10. All smoke, no flame.

Potential..lol

My Top 5

1. Lorenzen- HHS- Because he has proven more thus far.

2. Towles- HHS- Because he has it all and his pedigree will allow him to likely play on Sundays. (Heaven forbid he stays healthy at UK)

3. Eviston- NCC-He was a Winner and did it with is feet and arm.

4. Guidugli- HHS- He was a winner as well and had great career at UC.

5. McCormick- CovCath

Up there.

I don't know what slot I'd have him but I'd have the O'Toole kid from Dixie in the discussion.

I would like to see Jeff Smith from NewCath on the list He was first QB to open up passing game up on the hill, and went to to state championship games. Great 4 years at G-Town and spent time with the Bengals. In my top 5

Forgot about Smith.. He definately should be in the conversation..

1. Lorenzen

2. Nick West

3. Guidugli

4. Towles

5. O'Toole

That's just in the past 15 years. There are many more who could be considered in the mix. But I don't believe Eviston or Smith are top 5. I also think this kid from Conner could be considered when its all said and done. But most probably won't consider them because they don't play Highlands.
