Trevor Stellman was as good as any and way better than most high school qb mentioned in this thread. Like some said about others mentioned total package running with the ball and throwing it. Plus, he called a lot of the offense himself through checks at the line and when he would tell the HC what play to call:).

If we can go with an option qb, how about Gallichio? I doubt he threw 50 passes in his career but sure could run it.

Does Sam Diehl get on this list anywhere? And Kyle Callahan just won the Euro Bowl.

Production and other assessments. Do you think he is as good as Jared Lorenzen or Gino Guidugli?

Also I said "may" meaning I don't think he was up there with the elite but it would be more than a stretch to say he was the best qb in nky history.

Diehl was the best that I have seen at NewCath since 90.

As a senior he was better than solid. Beat Ryle, bad game against CovCath and then went insane in the playoffs

There have been some dandys in NKY over the yrs.

Seems like PT is getting lots of nods for #1 and he could very well be. PT has perhaps the best intangibles of any of the QBs mentioned that for sure. Probably the most complete QB in all areas (size,arm strength, run ability, footwork, intelligence and knowledge of game, desire to win) and oh yeah some really good tutors in Grandpa Bunning (to keep him grounded on his success) Jared Lorenzen QB coach (been there done that all all levels QB) Cris Collinsworth (can't put into words what this guys brings to the table, its not possible) and Mueller (to tell PT that they are wearing White on White for the State Championship game, LOL)

 

Add in family and community and you have the recipe for one the best QBs in the nation imo.:thumb:

 

This type of kid comes around maybe once every 10-15 yrs in NKY . A once in a lifetime for many programs and schools.

Very interesting that people are not even considering Pike (except Raiderbird) in the top 10 of NKY QB's all time. He might be the highest recruited kid to every come out of NKY and he played on team where he had very little for team success (an absolutely miserable defense not to mention little protection), however, people in this thread prefer to rank kids whose teams had more overall success. I know Pike has his issues and they have been well documented, but guys who make a living ranking and recrutiing high school players say he is the best that NKY has ever produced. Wonder what they see that the posters in this thread don't? :banana:
