This is silly. Youre never going to get a true unbiased answer to this question on this board. The number of Highlands supporters, or Norther Kentucky Football suporrters more then triples any other number of people that would defend Bowling Green in this arguement. They will never play so really what is the point of this arguement. Its great that Highlands fans think they are #2 and BG fans think they are #2. Either way both should win a state title and have had great seasons.

How does anyone that has posted an opinion in this thread know what they say is true? Did god speak to them? Unless HHS and BG play it's all speculation anyway. The difference is if anyone picks against HHS their haters and don't know what they are talking about. Heaven forbid an inferior team from the west could possibly be better than gods gift to football, the bluebirds.

 

I have not seen either play this year (only listened to the BG/Henderson game) so I can't say who is better. But I also know what happened last year, the year before, 2007, 1995, 1983, 1956, or whatever else year people want to drag up does not mean squat. I also know that BG's win over X is probably better than any win HHS has this year. I also know they both handled Lex Cath. HHS did beat Elder this year but it appears just about everybody did. HHS has the advantage at QB but for anyone that hasn't seen Scooter Hollis play he is probably the best athlete in the state no one talks about.

 

This could have been a fun thread had some of the HHS fans not gotten their panties in a wad over anyone daring to question the Birds superiority.

 

The same way they make predictions of scheduled games: most base their predictions on team loyalty first and foremost; some do it be comparing scores; and some do it by watching tape and analyzing key matchups.

Had a little issue this morning with some business and the guy was really not too cooperative on the phone. I wanted to use Ignorant and asinine but called him that the last two days.

Maxpreps has BG national ranking 36 & Highlands national ranking 86. The only common opponent is Lex Cath which both won BG by 18 and Highlands by 21. On paper I say would be a good game to watch and either team could win if playing on neutral site and would give the edge for which ever team was home team playing at the schools field.

Can't stop, won't stop. BG beat Lousville St. X. Louisville St. X beat Cincy St. X. Cincy St. X beat Elder and beat them 21-6. Highlands beat Elder 34-29. I think it is fair to say that based off all of those results BG is capable of beating Highlands.

 

That is the main problem with this thread and why it is going on page 5. Highlands fans act as though BG can't beat or play with Highlands but there isn't one speck of evidence that comes to that conclusion. It is still all speculation. BG would definitely be one of the best defenses Highlands would face all year, there is proof of that. BG also has speed on both sides of the ball to keep up with Highlands also. I'd also be shocked if BG's slow o-line was any slower than Boyle's was this year and when I watched BG they didn't seem to have many(if any) players playing both ways. If we are going to be completely truthful then the best thing to say is that BG would easily be the best team Highlands would face this year not named Trinity. How it would turn out is anyone's guess. It just kills me to see comments like 'they aren't in Highlands class', 'they look like the same old team from WKY', 'they don't have Patrick Towles', etc etc. You guys know football well enough to know anything is capable of happening when two teams of that caliber get together on the field. Unfortunately, it won't happen this year.

 

Either way it goes, to act as if BG can't beat Highlands in 2011 is just.......well......you all know what it is at this point.
