After watching the Highlands/Franklin Simpson game, I question Leathernecks film evaluation. Highlands has a very good team with an unbelievable talent at QB, but I did not see what he perceives to be dominate line play by Highlands.

 

Be careful.....he'll probably write you a book telling you why you can never question him or his tapes.

I noticed that as well. The birds O line played decent but the D line was far from dominate.. Also the birds kick-off coverage was lacking as well and BG's returners are way faster than Franklin Simpson's...

I believe the Birds had 324 yards rushing on 45 carries.(7.2 ypc) I think that with Highlands passing attack you are going to be able to dictate which of the two evils you want to defend.

BG didn't play FS, I think you may have meant Anderson County. Warren Central did play FS and beat them 34-6. We know what BG did to Warren Central. Probably have to check the tapes again though.

There were 2 kickoffs where the ball went in the endzone and the ref didn't blow it dead. Also 1 game is tough to say 1 team is better than the other.

I don't see anybody bragging , Just stating their opinion , no harm done. When was the last time BG played Elder , or for that matter Cincy X ? While I'm at it , did they ever srimmage Trinity ? HHS starting QB played one series in the Elder game due to injury.

 

As far as the state title games go , Highlands was playing a much better team than what BG was playing !

 

BG plays Trinity. St X this year and T the last 3 yrs and X before that. Last year T won 14-12. BG has almost the exact same team from last year just better.

No doubt. I can't believe they would allow themselves to project scores on their website without checking the tapes first. So much for their credibility.
