Who was the kid from Hopkinsville, or Paducah Tilghman? He was an ALL AMERICAN and I don't believe that he played a down of college ball.

He was something to see in the '97 AAA championship game! (Although Hoptown ended up having their runners-up trophy yanked because he turned out to be ineligible to play by date of birth.) Went on to play at UK, and he bounced around the NFL for 4 seasons.

Jude and others would be still chasing his mark if he had played more then 2 qtrs a game his Jr and Sr yrs.

I think he had 46 plus TDs his Sr yr which worked out to something like 1+ Tds a Qtr.:notworthy:

As TDY said, one of the best that never was at the collegiate level.

I know there is always talk about this kid and that kid that avgs 215 yds a game and just when you think that the kid is unstoppable, he plays somebody really good and gets held to 68 yds .

No one ever stopped Frisk, nobody.

I'd have to agree with those saying Justin Frisk. I grew up playing ball against him. The combination of speed, power, and vision was fun to watch. I've never seen a back like him since. Unfortunately a knee injury (and possibly grades) derailed his college career. Granted, he had a good one at TMC, but he had the D1 talent.

And this furthers my argument for Bret Denton. He was offensive player of the year his junior and senior year in front of Hayden despite his (Hayden) TD record.

Alexander and Sonny Collins best two I have seen in High School in Kentucky.

Tilghman: Joe Casey. Sr. year was 2003. High School Parade All-American. Verballed to Arkansas and I don't think he finished High School.

Showing my age here, but going back in time two names immediately jumped out. Don Gullett Reds World Series Champion was a fanatastic RB from KY. The other RB was from Simon Kenton in the late 60's. Charlie Siffel was ranked as Top 5 running backs in the country as a junior. The only problem he had was academics, he had trouble understanding the recruiting letters fro USC, UCLA, Alabama. It was a shame to see them thrown in the locker room garbage can. Both were unstoppable while playing both ways.

Greenup County boy. He was apparently an all-around stellar athlete. There used to be a stone sign outside of the Greenup County Courthouse that said "Don Gullett County" or something like that...I'd assume it's still there.

Frisk and Alexander are the two best backs I have ever seen in Kentucky. I have been watching high school football since the late 70's. Frisk averaged 250yds a game playing 2 quarters..He was a freak of speed, power, and agility..JMO

For me.....Chris Jones of Danville back in the 70's. His future was very bright until a career ending injury at UK his freshman year.

Shaun Alexander and Paul Hornung are really the two most viable options if you ask me. You could maaaybe toss Carwell Gardner in there too.
