The Most "dominating" RB in KY history?

Featured Replies

This question came to mind as I was scanning the cable guide and I saw that this friday night at 7:00 on ESPNU they are replaying the story of Marcus Dupree, "The best that never was"( well worth DVR'ing). I recall watching this several months ago and remembered him and his "breakaway" jersey from back in the day. What high school running back would you say was/is KY's Marcus Dupree?

Great episode of 30 on 30.

Tough question.

Are we simply saying who was the best?

Or are we saying who had the best combo of speed, size, and talent?

Justin Frisk!!!!

Alexander the Great.

Shaun, broke records at Bama pretty good school with thirteen National Championships. He broke a record as a Freshman against LSU and rushed for 291 yards and didn't play much in the first half. Helped a team get to the SuperBowl and was a NFL MVP and has NFL records too.

I'm going on the "best that never was" like it was asked in the original post.

With all due respect, there are many runningbacks that were dominant in KY that I know of from many schools.

Some of the good/dominant ones that come to my mind are:

Jason Skirvin, Justin Frisk, Brandon Berger, George Duvall, the Wulfecks, Corey Scarlato, Greg Menetry, Mike Ackerson, Channing Fugate, Miles Simpson, and JJ Jude.

I'm sure that I left plenty out, the ones that I mentioned are who came to mind.

I might catch some heat for this but I'll say it, when it comes to small ball Ricky Buckler was pretty dominant.

Wow hrcarrier you named some awesome backs and the list could go on! Mika Lockard from Lloyd should be on that great list.

Justin "Frisko" Frisk.

Jude and others would be still chasing his mark if he had played more then 2 qtrs a game his Jr and Sr yrs.

I think he had 46 plus TDs his Sr yr which worked out to something like 1+ Tds a Qtr.:notworthy:

As TDY said, one of the best that never was at the collegiate level.

I know there is always talk about this kid and that kid that avgs 215 yds a game and just when you think that the kid is unstoppable, he plays somebody really good and gets held to 68 yds .

No one ever stopped Frisk, nobody.

How about Kip Mason from Campbell. He was pretty good and fun to watch.
