From my personal perspective, I have no idea who the most dominating RB in Kentucky History is/was. As good as he was at RB, he wasn't solely a RB. However, if there's ever a thread that asks who the most dominating "player" in Kentucky history is/was, I'd say Michael Bush should win in a landside.

 

You'd get no argument from me. Bush was a beast and played nearly every position at some point in his career...and played them all at an exceptional level.

 

I would have loved to see him get a chance to play QB.

This thread is silly. We all know the real contenders are but some are mentioning just about anybody. All state honorable mention types. Plus the orginal thread talked about Marcus Dupree and the best there never was , again no real contenders but a bunch of all region players.

I agree that Alexander was the best. Since we are throwing names around Im gonna throw a few that have not been mentioned. Deshae Henson in early 90's was a beast @ Clay Co. and deserves to be mentioned with most of these. Harrodsburg H.S. had numerous outstanding backs from 70's-2000. Would have to throw in Donald Smith,Henry Parks,Tutti Ford,Craig Yeast among a few from this small school with loads of talent to come through it.

More physical? Maybe but Alexander was daylight ahead of him in talent and was by far the more dominating.

I have seen them both play a few time as well. While I believe Miles was/is a great player, my vote would definitely go to Alexander.

5) The kid from Ft. Campbell was Darrell Wallace. Went to Missouri became the Big 8 conference leading rusher then had a tryout with SF 49'ers.

I remember getting to watch both play clearly too. IMO, Simpson was a great runningback, but Alexander was ahead of him as far as talent is concerned at the high school level.

If people are mentioning some decent but not great talent than I cant believe Arliss Beach from Ashland has not been mentioned..he was a very good high school running back...Arliss went on and had a decent career at UK and was drafted but didn't play much in the NFL..he was real fun to watch in high school

With respect to UK#1Fans quote, UK isn't making the brightest of decisions these days, so we can't really evaluate one of theirs as being a good one.

Alexander and Sonny Collins best two I have seen in High School in Kentucky.
