When it comes to never was Eddie Bane from Holmes in the late 90's was a guy who had a lot of looks that never got to play in college.

 

I'm sure he's the only RB listed on this thread who participated on Pros vs Joes.

I'm a pretty big Green Bay fan. Actually he was drafted as a QB, that is why he wore number 5 for the packers. But Green Bay had a pretty good QB in Starr, and Hornung was a great athlete and they had to find a way to get him on the field. He didn't even want to play QB, but Notre Dame recruited him as one, and him mother wanted him to go to Notre Dame because of her religious beliefs, so he went.

Since none of the Blueboys have been mentioned. I will throw another great out there in Jerry Madden of CovCath. That kid could be the second greatest running back to ever play for CovCath. He holds all of their records and he was a RB that was just really hard to tackle. :thumb:

 

For what it's worth, Madden has three individual records. He's tied with Rick Hornsby for most single season touchdowns at 24, and he holds the record for most career touchdowns total at 49, and most career touchdowns rushing at 45.

Jeremy Madden was a stud. He scored 4 touchdowns in the Mud Bowl to beat Highlands. The greatest high school game played in the worst conditions. Gabe Grey broke his record this year for most touchdown in a season.

Some great backs I saw may not have seemed as dominant because they shared some touches in loaded offenses.

 

Jon Chapman - He was a great high school RB, but Breathitt County's offenses were loaded and threw a lot. So, he didn't get fed the ball as consistently as some others.

 

Howard and Jones from Belfry were both great and were perfect complements to each other.

 

But, how can you go against Alexander? He was a beast in high school, had a great college career at Alabama and then finished with a great pro career. I don't necessarily think he should automatically win because he was more successful after high school, but that has to be a factor when you consider how dominant he was at the high school level.

Corey Sallee (Butler), 1993 was the best RB against us. We played some awesome ones including, Sean Alexander, Corey beat our hindends.

Shaun, broke records at Bama pretty good school with thirteen National Championships. He broke a record as a Freshman against LSU and rushed for 291 yards and didn't play much in the first half. Helped a team get to the SuperBowl and was a NFL MVP and has NFL records too.

This has nothing to do with dominating KY, which he did.

Yo have to have speed in the SEC. I said all along he'd be a decent LB in the SEC, never a RB.

You also need power ...Idk how many times I have seen speed teams from the Pac 10, Big East, ACC etc get manhandled by the SeC powerhouses because all they had was speed...Shaun Alexander made a nice living as a power back in the SEC...

^ Speed wins in the BCS......granted you have to have strength in areas. Look at 2006 title game.
