How many players are on a typical HHS frosh team?

What kiind of size will this freshman team have? The size of this past year's team really impressed me at the banquet.

 

They should have decent size, but nowhere near this years team. Those with nice size would be John Abner, Kyler Dalton, Brad Veley, Robbie Kuper, Luke Hennigan, Matt Gall and Todd Ramey just to name a few that I remember from coaching the 2nd quarter. 7th grader Bo Hebel will be the biggest of the bunch and will definitely be a factor on both sides of the line. I would expect the real competition to be at running back, receiver, linebacker and defensive back. Numerous quality athletes that could be successful on either side of the ball.

Todd Ramey is a huge kid with a strong arm. He played QB for Newport FF................Interesting to see where (position wise) he ends up playing.............................

Thought I would bring this back up since Tdy commented in the Patrick Towles thread that there was a meeting last night between Dale and the frosh to be. Just curious to know what kind of numbers the frosh may have this year?

If that was the entire frosh team running around in the north end of DCM yesterday afternoon, then I'd say they have about 30 or so...with some pretty big boys...but not near as big or as many bigs as last year's frosh.

Last year's varsity couldn't match last years freshman team as far as size and number of players with size.

While this year's team won't be as loaded top to bottom like last year, there are some pretty good football players lining up for the Baby Birds this year....

Yeah just ask the team that HHS played the 1st round of the playoffs last year. The entire Frosh offense came in to start the 4th quarter and drove the ball right down the field and scored on the opposing teams 1's....Some unbelievable runs by Harris/Wrobleski/Hayes.....Get use to that 3 headed monster because I can see an immediate impact by at least 2 of those players at the Varsity level in 2011.

About 30 boys in the conditioning program with an additional 10 to 15 playing baseball. I would think the frosh Birds will suit up about 45 players next season.

What happend to Hayes? In my opinion he had the elusiveness that made him a game changer on Special teams. As good as Harris and Wrobleski are (and they are very good), Hayes is the player that created match up issues that are hard to account for with X's and O's..

WOW!!! I hope Suebird doesn't see this post. First makin fun of her grand kids and now her son. Sounds like a little "wolf" cry to me. HAHAHAHAHA! All fun and games!

 

Oh and I think JOAT was asking about numbers. From the meeting, looks to be 40+. Saw a few "new" faces there taking it all in from Coach Mueller.
