It's probably a reasonable bet that Ryle's team next year will not be as strong as this year's team. Though they certainly have some nice players at the JV and frosh levels, they are indeed losing a lot of talent and senior leadership. But even the best teams who have great teams on a year in-year out basis - the HHS, X, T's of the world - still have some fluctuations within the very good/great range. I think what is very clear is that Ryle is well on its way towards putting together a program that will one day be of the caliber to be included in the above list of teams. They have a coach/coaches with a strong desire to be on that level every year and things like scheduling HHS twice a year and Colerain and supporting a middle school feeder program are examples of why Ryle is on the right path to becoming an elite program.

To be honest I don't see Ryle being that good over the next few years. Their frosh team didn't have a lot of numbers and weren't very good. The JV isn't that good either. The varsity has 9 seniors starting on offense. Not sure about their defense, but I just don't see it..Maybe I'm wrong but this is Ryle's big year for a while..

 

I really do think the Ryle program is headed in the right direction. You're right about the light numbers on the Frosh team, there were six 8th graders that started. They should be fine over the next several years at the Varsity level; however it will be a tall order to replace the talent that is in this year's senior class. Remember, this year's Soph class went undefeated in the regular season last year as Freshman.

For who? Colerain is the best of the best in Cincinnati year in and year out. Where is next years game? If it's at Colerain, then mark it as a win for Colerain. You guys haven't lost there in like, what 4 Presidential Elections!!! Lets don't sugar coat this!

Ryle has a chance to be really good, will the middle school get them over the hump? You can be the judge of that. At the end of the day it comes down to personnel. If Ryle makes it to state this year it will be the 2nd time in 5 years right? All this being done without a middle school team and just sending players through the BCPWFL. Boone also made it to the final 4, 5 or so years ago. The talent in Boone County is as good as anywhere in the state, it's just spread out and spread even more thin with Cooper opening.

Yes sir that is what I meant, the talent is there in Boone County. Even with a middle school proram, you still have to find an answer for T or X.

Some people just don't get it. Middle School Programs, turf fields, etc...........BC will never be able to compete with Trinity and/or St. X. The dynamic is so much bigger than that. It just will never happen in 6A. NEVER.

RE, you must have a very short memory. Last year in the 3rd round, SK had the ball down 7 very late in the game driving for a tying score at St. X. That is a public school competing in 6A.

And Dixie beat T several years ago as well. Boone Co. competed against T back when they were the only BC school worth talking about. It can happen and most certainly will happen. And to quote Roman Empire, "MS programs, turf fields, etc (etc. being playing Highlands twice, Colerain, and developing constant success)" will be exactly what Ryle needs to do to beat those powerhouses. Never, say never!

You are correct......... Boone made it to the final four, not the finals in 04 and 07. Lost to Scott County in 04 and Trinity in 07.
