A fair amount. Lose their best WR. Lose their best DBs. Lose 2 or 3 starting DL.

Well if that is the case, does anyone know if the following 5A teams run the spread offense: Johnson Central (I don't think they do), Ashland, Bowling Green, John Hardin, or Christian County? I sure hope not.

 

I am sure some of them do. Highlands is ok when their offense is in sync, they can match the spread but tonight their offense was a lil off and turning the ball over. Young Bir made some nice passes as well. Lucky for us he is a soph and this wasn't his senior year.

Towles' TD pass to Sheehan was for 24 yards. I don't know if that fits your definition of "long" or not.

Congratulations colonels on such a strong showing. I like the thought of staying entire game and watching these two traditional powers hash it out to the games end.I would be interested to find each teams time of possession.

As a side note...student senate for both schools got together and called this a pink out for cancer. Both schools print and sell tshirts and Highlands prints theirs to say Beat cancer and Cov Cath. They may have won but displayed a total lack of class on that one.

 

So what should Highlands mentality be, lose to Cov Cath and have cancer? You are the first person that I met that is a supporter of losing to their own rival and promoting cancer. Promoting cancer is a total lack of class.

The funny thing is if it were 77-0 he wouldn't even be able to respond "I told you so" because there would be sooo many replies to how good the birds are! What's wrong in title town? Scared, cat got your tongue? Usually quick to post how this year is the "best ever." Just wondering where you all are on this one?

A win is a win. CovCath played their best game of the year and Highlands played their worst.

 

It's a rivalry game, so we'll take the win and move on to Scott. If HHS and CCH were to meet again in the playoffs, it should be a pretty good game.

Looks like some of the gods must have stayed up on Mt. Olympus and not made it to the HHS sideline last night.

I wouldn't look too much in to this score.

 

If these two meet again during the playoffs, I'd be very surprised if we saw another game this close. This is a rivalry but I honestly think the Birds became complacent once they took a 20-0 lead. Give credit where credit is due, and Covcath definetly deserves it for the way they played last night, but we'll see how things play out if there's a second match up.

 

Both teams will get better from this game as it sounds like both played sloppy football.

 

It is nice to see the rivalry revived with a close game though.

 

Also, a big kudos to both schools students for the money they raised for breast cancer awareness. There are much more important things in life than sports.
