Highlands scored a TD on the first play from scrimmage. 80-yard pass from Towles to Compton. XP good. Highlands was up 7-0 after 19 seconds into the 1st quarter. Highlands up 20-0 at the start of the 2nd quarter. The last time the Colonels played in Ft. Thomas the score was 54 - 0 at half. From a couple of minutes into the 2nd quarter to the end of the game, Cov. Cath. outscored the Bluebirds 20 to 7. A win is a win, so congratulations to the Bluebirds but this was a very respectable showing by the Colonels. :notworthy:

 

For some reason it was taking CC way too long to get plays called from the sideline to the QB. JMO !

Give me a break!! Did they raise money for a great cause? Yes. Give credit where credit is due. It is a rivalry game. They were having fun with it, while making money for a very worthy cause. Light'n up! They sold out of the initial order and placed an additional order for even more, which translates into even more money for the charity. I guess kids aren't allowed to have fun? Or is it just you?

Oddly enough, there was a huge sign on BOTH sides reading, "Beat Cancer and [the opponent]"

 

I think I heard them say that over $1,900 was raised. Both schools should be applauded for their efforts. :thumb:

I don't agree with giving Cov Cath the ball 4th down and goalat the 4, when you could have pushed them back and given them 3rd and goal from the 13. Where was Sullivan all night? Did he get hurt?

it would have been a problem if it said beat cov cath and cancer. I think it is a great way to tie the rivalry and the cause into the same theme!
