I think Cooper will win 5 out of 7 . ( Conner, Boone, Cambell County, Lloyd, Shawnee, Scott and Holmes). I think they are a year or two away from Sk and Ryle. I also think they make the playoffs this year !

 

What about Newport they beat them last year! That would make 6 wins! WOW!! Sounds like a good year for the Jags , hope you are right.

 

Of the teams mentioned, how many will Cooper actually play this year? I believe last year was the second year of that home and home schedule which will mean that a few of those teams will be dropped.

 

If they keep the same schedule, I see them beating Lloyd, Scott, Newport, and Shawnee.

 

Holmes will be VERY GOOD this coming year. I'd be very surprised if they came within two td's of the Bulldogs. Too much speed and athleticism.

 

They may beat Boone or Conner, but I don't think they'll beat Campbell Co.

You gotta love the enthusiasm of the Cooper crowd. If they keep that spirit and the players keep it as well, success is sure to follow whether it is this year, next year or the year after.

It's also an open discussion about teams that may have the ability to drop in or out of that #10 spot. We apologize if we are not giving enough attention to the teams that are pretty obvious to be the number 1 and 2.

Very much agree. I really enjoy the Birds' posters and find them to be 100% supportive of a great team and tradition without crossing the arrogance line. As to top 10, Cooper may beat Boone this year and that would be great for their new program. Whoever wins that game will probably crack the top 10 in NKY.

CCH is a tough one to predict.

 

I know I'm hopping in a little late in the conversation, but I agree with Clyde here. It's hard to see at this point where Cov Cath stands. I'd say in all likelihood that at this time next year we'll have a little better perspective on how to go about ranking the Colonels during the off-season/pre-season, but simply because of the roller coaster the program has been through in the last 5 seasons, their "predictability" isn't so easy right now.

 

That being said, I think I'd have to agree largely with VOR on the rankings right now. No disrespect to Highlands, but I see Ryle as having the potential to overtake the Bluebirds this year - however, that remains to be seen. As for the nine and ten spots, I could personally see Boone, Holmes or Cooper fillingin either of the two spots. I just went with Boone & Holmes based on last season more than anything.

This is a record for total arrogance in post after post about one opposing team, especially so far in advance. Ryle is overrated they lost there best recievers they will not better than last year sorry to say that. SK will have a more wide open air it out offense and have more overall team speed!

I actually thought SK lost more from last season. Ryle returns a three year starting QB Hemple and a two year starter in Elliot at DB an or RB. Didn't SK basically lose their entire offense? From what I gather from reading BGP, I thought SK was going to have to replace an entire OL and of course they lose Simpson. Just my opinion, really I'm not sure what either team has lost and what they have promising coming back.
