December 9, 200916 yr Supposedly had "Hostesses" for recruits. They might be in some hot water. I'll see if I can find the link if I have time. Atta boy Layne :ohbrother:
December 9, 200916 yr I just heard that from Neil Everett and thought it was a great recruiting tool until they said it wasn't allowed.
December 9, 200916 yr Supposedly had "Hostesses" for recruits. They might be in some hot water. I'll see if I can find the link if I have time. Atta boy Layne :ohbrother: Another........LANE VIOLATION!
December 9, 200916 yr Seems like he is in the news about every month for something like this. How long is it until he screws up big time?
December 9, 200916 yr Laney has to realize that winning like this comes at a high cost. You don't have to build Rome overnight, get some high character guys in there even if it takes a year or two.
December 9, 200916 yr I read this on Deadspin.com : A significant part of the investigation is focused on the use of recruiting hostesses who have become folk heroes on Tennessee Internet message boards for their ability to help lure top recruits. [...] In one case, hostesses traveled nearly 200 miles to attend a high school game in South Carolina in which at least three Tennessee recruits were playing. Marcus Lattimore, a running back who made an unofficial visit to Tennessee but said he would not enroll there, said multiple Tennessee hostesses attended a game at James F. Byrnes High School in Duncan, S.C., in September. He said they brought signs, including one that read, "Come to Tennessee." "I haven't seen no other schools do that," he said. "It's crazy." Well played Lane!
December 9, 200916 yr You can have hostesses they it's just UT's have went above and beyond what they are allowed to do.

December 9, 200916 yr Lane needs Sandy Bell looking over his shoulder. :eyeonyou: He needs adult supervision in recruiting and when he opens that big mouth of his.
December 9, 200916 yr UT will get the death penalty if this guy stays longer than 3 years. :thumb: We can only hope.
December 9, 200916 yr There would be no greater Christmas present than Tennessee and Lane Kiffin getting the death penalty from the NCAA.
December 9, 200916 yr There would be no greater Christmas present than Tennessee and Lane Kiffin getting the death penalty from the NCAA. I am sorry, but that is a horrible thing to wish on a program. Wishing for Kiffin to be banned from ever coaching is one thing and fine, but essentially knocking out a program at the expense of innocent kids is not cool.
December 9, 200916 yr UT has a ways to go before the death penalty. If the NCAA can avoid slapping that on a program they will. SMU never recovered.
