December 9, 200916 yr You can have hostesses they it's just UT's have went above and beyond what they are allowed to do. What is the exact rule? Seems to be a pretty good idea. Is the NCAA investigating what these "hostesses" were doing, or just the idea of having a hostess at a game holding up a sign?
December 9, 200916 yr UT has a ways to go before the death penalty. If the NCAA can avoid slapping that on a program they will. SMU never recovered. :thumb: Hopefully this year's bowl game will be a sign of promise for SMU. A program with some history.
December 9, 200916 yr Another........LANE VIOLATION! There aren't enough laughing smilies for me to use to say how funny I think this is..........   Later.

December 9, 200916 yr Comments like that is why I hate UK with a passion. Lame keeps bringing it on himself. He runs his mouth non-stop and that will get people (NCAA) looking for anything they can find...and with him, they obviously don't have to look very hard. I'm sure a lot of UGA, BAMA, UF, South Carolina, Vandy, Auburn, (oh well I could go on for days) feel the same way. Rock on Lame...

December 10, 200916 yr What is the exact rule? Seems to be a pretty good idea. Is the NCAA investigating what these "hostesses" were doing, or just the idea of having a hostess at a game holding up a sign? From my understanding, they are allowed to have hosts/hostesses on campus for official visits only. UT is using them on unofficial visits, and they are being sent off campus to recruits' games (and possibly other 'functions'). The ones mentioned above in South Carolina were apparently very attractive hostesses.
December 10, 200916 yr I don't forsee the NCAA ever slapping the death penalty on any big time program again. In regards to SMU it truly was the death penalty, they have been a doormat for the past 25+ years.
