Need another option for people like me:

 

"Need glasses, but just have never got around to getting them."

Don't wear glasses but now need "cheaters" to read small print. :irked::irked: You turn 40 and it all turns to crap! :lol::lol::lol:

I've had glasses since the first grade, contacts since the third grade.

 

I put in my contacts in the morning and wear them all day. I wear my glasses in the evening when I'm watching tv.

I can tell exactly were I was when I first found out I need bifocals.

I also know exactly where I was when I realized I needed glasses. I was at a pre-season Bengals game this year with a friend. She asked me to look and see if her glasses looked smudgy. I looked through one lens, and it was so blurry, I couldn't tell if it was smudged. Then I looked through the other lens...

 

Oh my gawd! :eek:

 

I couldn't believe I could suddenly see all the way to the other side of the stadium! I could see the players names clearly, and read the fine print on the scoreboard. It was like when you look through binoculars while turning the little wheel. Everything was in focus.

 

After that, I realized all the trouble I was having seeing road signs and player numbers at the far end of football games was because of my lousy vision.

I wear both. I'm pretty well blind without them, you could take me to my old highschool and I probably couldn't make it home.

I wear my glasses in class and driving sometimes. But if I am in the mood I will wear them for a day or two straight.

 

I really should wear them all the time because my vision is terrible, I just dont.

Well, I wear classes most of the time.Got them on right now as I typeing this.

Glasses for about the 1st few years now contacts for the about the last year and a half. It's amazing to me how much better I can see with the contacts , I would never go back to wearing glasses unless I had to.

Are you supposed to take your contacts out every night? :eyeonyou:

With mine yeah you are suppose to but I don't like I should , I wear mine sometimes for a week at a time and because I don't take em out like I'm suppose to on 2 separate occasions I've had a ulcer that irritated the heck out of my eye.

I wear glasses to drive for distance. Take them off for computer work and to read.

My eyes are great now thanks to Lasik. I had it done in July of 2007. Before then I wore contacts.

I can tell exactly were I was when I first found out I need bifocals. I was standing by the front door, in my house, and picked up a bottle of Tylenol and tried to read the directions and couldn't. I had to ask my wife to read them.

 

It was an instantaneous change.

 

Seriously it was like the Jan. 1 in my 40th year...I wake up and can no longer read small print! :irked::irked:

 

So today I am going to the track and I will have to take my cheaters so I can rean parts of the program. :irked::irked:

I've had glasses since I was 14,but recently I have found that I need them more an more.

Glasses since I was seven. I did the contacts thing in high school, but it was too much of a hassle considering how bad my vision is, so I've been strictly glasses since I was 17 or so.

I have been wearing glasses since the 4th grade, 20/500 in both eyes. Was one of the first people in the country to use extended wear lenses after a severe hard contact over wear that scratched both of my corneas. Quit wearing contacts after I started programming because they dried out constantly and it was easier just to wear my glasses.

 

I qualified for Lasiks, but never saw a need to cough up that kind of money at my age. I'll have cataracts soon enough, so I'll get them fixed then.
