Weird. :eyeonyou:

I couldn't do that....I guess your eyes have adjusted to having one contact in?

Yeah I know man. I was playing a football game and when I got tackled the lense in my right eye fell out. We ended up winning the game and I played alot better with it out for whatever reason, scoring both of my TD's after it had fallen out. Haven't been able to wear the right lense since and have only tried a few times. It took a few minutes to get used to but it doesn't bother me know. I also never take the one in my left eye out. I leave it in until it falls out from being too old. Then I switch. Weird, I know.:thumb:

Are you supposed to take your contacts out every night? :eyeonyou:

Contacts and some cool oakley rimmed glasses but need a new prescription filled on the lenses.

Neither, but I have often wished I wore glasses to look more dignified.

Depends on the kind. I think most eye-doctors say you should take them out daily, but you really don't have to IMO. If you have some eye drops, everything should be fine.:thumb:

I wear contacts, have since 4th grade. Recently I was diagnosed with something called keratoconus which is a thinning of the cornea, and wearing soft contacts is no longer an option. As a result I have to wear RGP lenses, what you may know as hard contact lenses. They don't even fit over the entire eye. It's brutal to get used to, but eventually your eyes adjust.

I wear contacts and would like to get a pair of glasses so I can just wake up and lounge instead of having to go directly to the bathroom for the contacts.

I wear glasses. They are trifocals.

Don't wear glasses but now need "cheaters" to read small print. :irked::irked: You turn 40 and it all turns to crap!:lol::lol:

I wore glasses for 37 year's and recently had cataract surgery at the end of August. At the same time they put a lens in my right eye. I now have 20/20 vision again and do not have to wear glasses or cheater's. Dr Sanatato in Crestview Hills did the surgery and I will have to have the left eye done eventually since I have a cataract started in that eye. I was totally impressed with how clear everything is to me without my glasses. When I go to a High School or any football game I can read the numbers on the Jersey's now. Everything up until August was a big blurr. JD

I can tell exactly were I was when I first found out I need bifocals. I was standing by the front door, in my house, and picked up a bottle of Tylenol and tried to read the directions and couldn't. I had to ask my wife to read them.

It was an instantaneous change.

I'm nearsighted, and when I got my new glasses in July, my eye doctor told me I'd be able to get by right now but would need bifocals next time. I was skeptical, of course. So, I get my new glasses and I find that I really don't need them as long as I don't want to see clearly any further than about 10 feet ahead. :D I think I'm going to stave off the bifocals longer than he thinks by just not wearing glasses when I need to read something. :D

Glasses since I was 14 . Last time i went to the eye doctor my prescription had changed for the better .

I've had them when since I was 12. I had a couple of exams in my 30's where my eyes had gotten better, but that seems to have slid backward twice as fast as it got better. :irked:
