What is the best laptop out right now?
Yes, which speaks volumes about the quality of a Mac. As a college student, they would indeed get dropped, things spilled on them, and eaten alive with viruses.

What is the best laptop out right now?
I disagree. I only do light graphic design (and that's only on occasion) and switching to a Mac was the best computer-related decision I ever made. I used PCs my entire life. When I went to college my parents got me a laptop. It died after about a year. So I get another PC laptop. It also bit the dust. So I get another PC laptop.......same old song and dance. All 3 were unable to be repaired. I bought a Macbook 2-3 years ago and haven't had a single problem out of it. It still runs as if it were new. Not one single virus, not one single problem. I thought it'd be difficult to learn too.....I was WAY wrong. Is it different from a Windows-based computer? Yes, but in a good way. Everything is so easy and MAKES SENSE.

Is Howard out at Pikeville?
IMO, they should have never let McNamee, the coach from 99-2003, go. McNamee went across the mountain to Pike Central, but this past year was an assistant coach for the Panthers. I'd say that's who will end up back at the helm in Pikeville, which is sad because he's a great coach, and had they just let him stay, imagine the stability and growth he could have brought to the program. Hopefully someone at Pikeville learns not to fix what isn't BROKEN!

Is Howard out at Pikeville?
I don't think he was fired, I'm hearing it was more of a "forced to resign." And again, I don't think this was because of this year's season record or their first round playoff loss.

Is Howard out at Pikeville?
If I absolutely had to guess, I would say this isn't because of the results on the football field.

What is the best laptop out right now?
It is if you save up and look at it in perspective. In 2 and a half years I spent over $1500 on PC laptops. I finally bit the bullet and dropped $999 for a Macbook and 2 years later, it's running just as good as it did on day one. So if I had kept on the PC bandwagon, I would have essentially lost $500. I have owned 4 PC laptops previously and not one of them lasted longer than 2 years. They either became wretchedly overrun by viruses or crapped out on me. Had one that the battery connector, that connects the power cord to the laptop, started sparking and went out. It was in 4 different shops for 6 months+ and not a single person could fix it. So even though the computer itself was fine, I could no longer charge it to use it and no one could fix it. Interestingly enough, Macs found away around that problem. They have magnetic power cords, that fall away without hurting the computer should someone trip over them, etc.

What is the best laptop out right now?
Macbook/Macbook Pro. Switched from PC to Mac 2 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made (computer-related that is). No viruses, still runs as fast as it did on day one, battery life is still at full capacity. Automatically converts PC files you receive or download, such as Word documents and Powerpoint presentations, into Mac format. Better/stronger wireless internet connection than my fiancee's Dell laptop. Takes approx. 20-30 seconds to boot up and be on the internet, as opposed to most PC's I've used where it takes 5-10 minutes to boot up and do anything. As an aside, it really irks me that EKU's lab computers (Dell PC's) take forever to boot up. It took me 7 minutes (yes, I counted) the other day to log in and get on Firefox. And that was just from the login page, I'd hate to see how long it would have taken if I had to boot the computer up, then log in. Just one of those things that you get used to with a Mac, that bothers you whenever you're forced to use a PC. I know they're probably a couple hundred more than what you're looking at (approx. $1000 when I bought mine), but it's worth it. Previously I had owned 3 PC laptops, having to replace them every year or year and a half. My Macbook is on year 2 and has not slowed down one single bit or shown any signs of diminishing performance. Yes, it may sound like I've been drinking the Mac Kool-Aid, but honestly, this is the best, most reliable computer I've ever owned.

Harlan 21 Pikeville 14
I didn't expect this, but it's not all that surprising to me. The Pikeville Football program is in shambles, and has been since Former Head Coach Chris McNamee was pushed out of there. McNamee is back now, but in an assistant position.

Halftime Clock
Dead on.

Boyle County 63 Pikeville 7
The officials, for whatever reason, started the game about 15 minutes earlier than expected. The game was supposed to start at 5:45, but it was more like 5:30. Pikeville hung tough in the 1st quarter; I believe the score was Pikeville - 7/Boyle - 14 at the end of the 1st quarter. But halfway through the 2nd quarter Boyle just unleashed. Boyle tried to rack up the points before the half (in order to get the clock running) but couldn't pull it off until the 3rd quarter when they reached the magic 45. For those asking whose idea it was - I have been told that the scheduling of this game goes back to one of the former coaches, either Copley or Jackson. Whoever it was, the same coach also scheduled Pikeville vs. Danville for next year's bowl in Corbin. Pikeville also had a kid injured tonight, some kind of kidney or rib injury, he had to be taken away in an ambulance just after the 1st half.

Louisville NOT Bidding the State Finals for Next Season
Not trying to be a pain, but do you have a source for that about the attendance? Because from what I have been told attendance has dropped. It's an honest question, not trying to disagree.

Louisville NOT Bidding the State Finals for Next Season
How? Didn't they move the Girls Sweet 16 to Bowling Green? And aren't they now complaining about the low attendance at that event? Maybe it will get more of a Western KY draw out to the games, IDK, but I'm not putting much faith in it. I think, that with gas the way it is, the Eastern KY crowd will drop dramatically.

Louisville NOT Bidding the State Finals for Next Season
I think this stinks, but obviously I can't do anything about it. What about the Eastern KY teams? Belfry has won a few state championships in recent years and was runner-up in 2007. While the miles (as the bird flies) from South Williamson to Bowling Green is about 280 miles, the drive would take approximately 5 hours if they were to go non-stop.
