What is it saying when the other team hopes that they can just put up a score on LCA. Is that total dominance or is it all in the teams/fans heads.

I remember the days when LCA was on the opposite side of the equation; when we would tell the players to try to "win the 2nd half"!

He is the best. Along with some very good asst. I think both schools are blessed with coaching staffs.

I also remember a few of those games. Things have changed.

What year did Coach Rains come to LCA? If I had to guess I would say 2005?

LCA though is not just another 1A school. You have a big target on you jersey. LCA is what everyone else strives to be. A top 5 team year after year. Must be nice being a private school!! So no your not just another 1A school in that respect.

QUOTE]

It must be nice to be a public school during the recession and not have to pay over $6000 a year for one child to attend school there or another $700+ to play football.

That is your choice. Not to stray away from the game, but this is not a legitimate complaint by any private school parent when you have the choice to send your child to a public school also. I understand why you do it and applaud you for your conviction and doing what you believe is the best you can for your child. But don't complain about that choice after you make it.

As to the game, LCA may get challenged a little by some one in class A. I don't expect it but it may happen. But I don't think it is this week. LCA by at least 4 TD's.

Good post. I agree on the great respect that LCA and Raceland have for each other and hope to see it continue. Hope to see ya in a couple of weeks.

LCA and Raceland is the one game I look froward to every year. The atmosphere is great and so is the food at Raceland.

No "feathers" ruffled here - nice "pun" by the way! Eagles - feathers... LOL

I just dont want our Kids reading this hype and forget who they are playing and what their focus is each week - because HAZARD still haunts ME!!! :)

Raceland and LCA fans have so much respect for one another - it is amazing! We have created a great rivalry between our 2 schools in a very short time - since this is only our 10th year of Football (8th in Varsity level).

Good luck to Raceland this week - and hopefully there will still be 2 District 5 teams left to play next week and we hope it is Raceland heading to Lexington next week - right!?

TwoEagles, when I look at your screen-name, I keep thinking that you're one of the characters from F-Troop.

F-troop? What is that? Your Grade school Cub Scout pack?

I must be TOO YOUNG to know what you are referring to here?

Well, considering what tribe you are from, I should give you a good Smack....
