February 11, 200917 yr Is there a bigger horse's rear end than BCG during the halftime interview? He needs to remember that ESPN is helping pay his big salary and deal with inane questions.
February 11, 200917 yr Someone tell me why this kid has been on the bench all season? Everyone says it's due to his effort in practice. Personally, I'm with Iverson on this issue. BCG puts too much weight in PT on how a practice session goes. Well, some guys are not the greatest practice people in the world (maybe they find it boring), but they bring it on game night, and that's what matters most imo.

February 11, 200917 yr I agree, but it seems he has more of problem with this one reporter. Fine. Deal with it. Its part of your job whether you like it or not. And if you truly believe he didn't hear her first question the first time she asked.....

Have you ever heard Phil Jackson or Popovich get interviewd between quarters? They are 10 time worse than BCG. It's dumb to talk to a coach during the game. Are they really suppesed to tell you what they are going to do to stop a player or how they are going to get a guy open? I think it's great the way he answers those questions. Why not talk to Donovan there?
February 11, 200917 yr Very good and must needed win for the Wildcats!! Good to see the role players come up big in a big game. Hopefully, Patrick can go Saturday. However, if he can't, then our other players need to step up again.
February 11, 200917 yr Tough to argue against right now....Meeks has kind of fallen behind. The funny thing is in those last 3 games coming into last night where Meeks fell behind his ppg were more in those games than Calathes has had for the year. So in Meeks "bad" games he's averaging more a game than the great one. Meeks is the player of the year in the conference and he isn't the best player on his team.
February 11, 200917 yr Cats down 64-58 with 2 minutes to go came back thanks to Meeks to out score the Gators 10-1 for the comeback win. That was a great 2 minutes. A much needed win for the Cats, and lets just hope that Pat's injury is not not bad. GO CATS beat Arkansas.

Why not talk to Donovan there? IMO he should just answer the question and move on, Jackson and Popovich have a few more titles than BCG and say what they want to. It is dumb to ask these questions just before the half, but its part of the job, deal with it, don't come off looking like a jerk! The reporter has a job to do as well.
February 11, 200917 yr I want to say this.....a 3 at the buzzer is way less clutch, than trying to hit 3 ft's with 22K screaming.... One is reactionary, the other lets you think way too much. Sparks made it look pretty easy a few years back. If you are an 80%+ foul shooter you should relish a moment like that. Going oafer is not acceptable.

To his defense this time the UK band was right in front of him playing pretty loudly, so I thought he honestly didn't hear her.

IMO he doesn't look like a jerk. He looks like a coach who is more interested in his team than talking to a sideline reporter at the half. I hope he continues to act the same way.

Debateable...in Meeks case, he most likely knew he was going to be the guy taking the shot, so he had plenty of time to think about it. Granted its one shot vs. 3 shots...but, in fairness, its one contested shot from 20+ feet vs. 3 freebies from 15 feet.
