Only other road game is against a bad SK team. I'll stick by my initial post that Holmes runs the table in nky. I don't see anyone being able to beat them at Holmes. They showed a lot of character today being able to overcome the adversity that most other teams would have cracked under. This is good experience for them. They haven't had to win a game yet that was back and forth the whole game.

I agree whole heartedly. There's something to be learned from each and every game and the Scott game today was probably one of the most important ones this season for the Bulldogs on their way to Rupp. It's always a benefit to be very confident on the way to victory, but maybe not too confident for your own good. If they keep their belief level up real high after this game (and I'm sure that they will), and if it also helps them learn to respect the strengths of their opponents and that there's no time for lapses, then I think that the importance of this game for the Bulldogs is immeasurable. The next 7 games should be a great test for them to fine tune what they've learned today to better prepare them for post-season play. If they don't get caught up in too many excuses for why it was so close, perhaps this game can be the catalyst that will help grow them up in leaps and bounds. If they focus on the excuses, maybe not.

The next few weeks should be very interesting and telling of their growth.

I think playing Cooper last night made them somewhat lazy today. They didn't play hard at all in the time the starters were in first half and it seems like it carried over today on the defensive end at times.

In basketball it's interesting to see the wave of a team's intensity from opponent to opponent and it's affect on them physically and mentally and how it carries over into their next game/games. If I were a coach, I'm sure that I would go nuts trying to piece together a schedule that I think would be most beneficial for my team's growth considering I can only have so much control over that. I like what I see in Holmes' remaining schedule and that other than the SK game, it should really prepare them well for what's to come. No matter how physically excellent a team may be, they truly become an awesome team when the can totally get the mental part up to speed with their physical talent. To be a real winner, it takes both and a lot of youngsters fail to understand that right off the bat. The ones that learn it can really make some magic.

Holmes will probably win out the rest of the regular season, but I'm predicting a regional loss to a team that catches fire. They have had a great season so far. It brings me back to 1996 when Holmes had a very good team; I think they were undefeated in the 9th going into the postseason and little old Holy Cross beat them. Now I'm not saying this will happen this year, but don't count your chickens before they're hatched!

Holmes has played a much more difficult schedule and better opponents than your team has played, and thats not an opinion, it is a fact.

1,714 views on this thread is impressive. As for the game, great showing by the Eagles. That's how you leave it on the floor, great effort. Once again R. Johnson showed when in doubt he will step up. He is Mr. Everything for Holmes. I hope this game brings fourth some humility for the Dogs. They need to re-focus on the defensive side of the ball. After this scare I think Henley will have all ears this week. On a side note I find it some what comical, that people are rooting for these kids to fail because what someone post on BGP. Is it that serious. ER You are the man, and I think you do a good job. Is it just me ? or do you have a few critics from EKY.

And to add from my previous post, Scott is a top team in the state. They are a top 25 team at the least and they deserve it based on their play the whole year and with the competition they have played against.
