Personally I like Willie very much, should be getting more minutes. Seems to be very coachable. :thumb:

Pittman had 3 fouls and remained on the bench for most of the 3rd and 4th quarters. He was noticably nonplussed at Coach Henley. He picked up the 4th foul at the end of regulation. Scott was down by 1 and had 2 free throws with no time on the clock to win the game in regulation. Pittman fussed at the referee during the course of 3 time outs called to ice the Scott shooter. He probably should have been T'd up. I agree the blocking foul Pittman was charged with should have been a charge. I also saw Pittman push and shove, and get away with it about 8 times. Kevon Arnold opened the door for Scott to get back in the game during the overtime by committing a technical foul for a gratuitous forearm shiver delivered directly in front of 2 officials. In the face of adversity Pittman cracked, Arnold cracked, Riley disappeared. Ricardo saved the day.

Scott only beat Lewis by 10!!!!!!!!!!

I was there for that one and Scott did sub a lot but so did Lewis, and Scott had some starters in the game the whole time. Anyone that is familar with Lewis knows that coach Hampton uses a lot of players so to say Scott was playing their JV against Lewis starters is incorrect. And by the way Lewis wasn't shooting the ball well that night.Sorry didn't mean to get off the subject just thought I would clear it up with the facts.

and called a timeout with 9.1 seconds left. On the out of bounds play JJ found brother Ricardo under the rim for a monster two hand dunk to give Holmes a 56-55 lead with 0.6 seconds left. The refs then proceeded to go over to the score keeper and put 2.5 seconds on the clock. (HORRIBLE AND WRONG CALL!!)

 

Two people have told me that the clock issue was NOT at the end of regulation but, rather, it was at the end of the OT. I was told that after the TO with about 9 seconds left Holmes scored on the lob dunk and there were about 6 or 7 seconds left and Smith went down and got fouled.

 

I was also told that that Holmes camp was not as bothered by the officials as some fans.

The time was put back on the clock at the end of the OT. With about 9 seconds left in regulation, Henley called a timeout. Set up a grrrreeeeattt play to Ricardo, who had a lob jam. Scott in bounded immediately and drove down for a last second shot. Pittman fouled. Timeout. Timeout. Smith hits the first free throw to tie. Timeout. Smith's second free throw is off the mark. OT.

May be right. I know when Holmes scored on the dunk at the end of regulation though that the clock continued to run and then a ref blew his whistle and went over to the scorers table.

 

There were dunks at the end of the 4th and OT though so I could have them confused.
