TonyDanza
I'd say the hot water is the best method (and probably the safest). But, with this weather, I think it could make your problem worse in a few hours. What if I wiped it dry as soon as I poured it on there? Also LBBC do have the wind shield stuff. Birdsfan
Hot water could refreeze and cause you a real mess.
STRIKE3
Just use the warm water from the tap, like West said and you'll be fine. It won't hurt the dish or the functionality.

Ram
Warm bourbon (I know you have that), it won't freeze. I'm not a smart man, but I know my alcohol.

If it screws it up I am going to come and taze you all!!!:lol::lol::thumb: I've done this before and even poured onto my Heat Pump, to melt ice build up on top. What is your current temp, TD? But as CC said, couldn't it re-freeze?Warm water won't refreeze, on a satellite dish which is concave in shape. Unless the dish is flat, like a bird bath. It may take several cups of warm water, to melt the thin coat of water and once done, simply wipe off with a warm towel.

STRIKE3
Hmmmmm...interesting idea.Drink the Bourbon, as the alcohol is a good cleanser but corrosive to many metals and coatings.
