December 30, 200817 yr I"m actually going to work out today so I can start the conversion of fat into muscle thus helping my weight gain plan.
December 30, 200817 yr Started working out again last night for the first time in about a month. Did 8 exercises on the total gym (Chuck Norris makes those things look a lot easier than they are.), did a few sets on the bench (185 lbs 4 sets of 10 to tone up), got some curls in (DB and EZ-Bar 4x8 with each..40 lb Db and 25 lb weights on EZ bar), and then did 5 sets of 50 reps on the ab tracker. Also ran 3 miles yesterday morning. Let's just say Eta is somewhat feeling it today. Did a weigh in though and I'm at 223...which is right around 7 pounds less than I weighed 3 weeks ago. I quit drinking pop, eating late, and completely cut out fast food restaurants. Getting ready to head off to the gym now since I was off work today.
December 30, 200817 yr Anybody know somewhere I can find good exercises with resistance bands? I can't afford to join a gym... In my blonde voice....But I thought you like to play the drum??:lol::lol:

December 30, 200817 yr You know what, sign me up. 2008 has been a bad year for PepRock weight wise, losing muscle and gaining fat. I have just started getting some of the weight off and I want my hat thrown into this little contest too.
December 30, 200817 yr Think you can send that to me as well? Will you be using the bands with handles on both ends? Or like the ones you see in physical therapy offices?
December 30, 200817 yr Author Only a few more days to decide if you want to sign up and participate... I'd be willing to bet you'll easily save over $100.00 doing this.
December 30, 200817 yr I say we go for 700 total pounds lost. 1,000 seems a little much BF. Depends on how hard people really try. If there are 40 people trying to lose weight, and the average weight loss is say 25 lbs. That's the 1,000 mark. I've seen alot of people say they want to drop 30-50. All depends on how seriouslly people take this.

I'll easily loose 30+ pounds, I do every time I diet.

People usually guess me about 2 or 3 years younger than I am, and that's with a pretty muscular build. If I dropped that kinda weight I'd look like a hs kid again.
December 30, 200817 yr I've lost three pounds since Christmas. I eat a regular lunch and then for Dinner I eat something not as fattening. I had a Grilled Chicken Sandwich last night, and the night before just regular ol' Spaghetti and Sauce. If I can drop about 4/5 pounds a week I'd be happy. My problem is hitting the weight room again. I have no problem going to the gym and playing Basketball. But I have no motivation going to the weight room and lifting after not lifting for 2 years.
