The 2 best teams in 6A are Trinity and St. X.

I watched the SK-Male game on TV. We will have 17 points in the 2nd Qtr.

That was Arrogant... SK and Trinity are both in the State Championship Game. That means they are the best two teams in KY 6A. It's not going to be a blow out, if anything it will be close. All SK has to do is withstand Trinity's first punch, and SK will come back in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter just like in the past two games.

The final answer to this will happen Saturday night. With that said, if Trinity wins by a landslide, this statement will be completely untrue. If in fact Trinity wins by what most people think, then I would go as far as saying that SK would not be the 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th best team in 6A. I would imagine that Ballard, Eastern and St. X would be those teams.

 

Alas, this is why we play the games. May the best team (Trinity) win by a lot on saturday night.

I think when you get to the state finals for the first time you are a different animal and the SK boys will play like they have never played before. Trinity playing in the state title game is business as usual. They have the experience and the studs but I am laying my money on desire for this one and I am calling a shocker.

Unfortunately, 6A in KY is like three different divisions: 1)The Giant Division, a 2-team division in Louisville - guess which two teams; 2) The Junior Division, about 12-15 other 6A teams from around the state that are essentially even and all 4-5 TD's minimum away from X and T depending on the night; and 3) The Midget Division, the rest of the 6A teams that are light years away from any opportunity to be competitive with the Giant Division. In games between the Giant and Junior Division teams, some nights would be a lot more than 4-5 TD's but only on a rare night would it be closer than that and rarer still a night with potential of a close game or last-second upset. SK is in the Junior Division and will fare like a Junior Division team against T on Saturday night. I hope this is not arrogant. My team is a Junior Division team, too. At least we are not in the Midget Division.

1....he also threw an INT, and ran for about 90 yards...while being very, VERY sore....we played all 1,400 boys in that game...

 

I feel bad for whoever has to wash your teams uniforms, or do they get them professionally dry cleaned?:sssh:

I can't speak for Conner and Male, although I highly suspect that Conner wanted badly to win but I know for sure that Boone badly wanted to win, but you are not thinking correctly and badly underestimating T's desire to win #19 if you really believe that SK wants to win more than T. I will say that both teams WANT to win equally, but only T knows HOW to win the state championship. Please don't argue that SK knows how to win the state championship. It would be one of the greatest upsets in H.S. sports history nationally if SK knocked off T. Just don't see it when one team is way behind the other in the ability to execute and defend the pass.

I'm getting sick of all the talk about how these aren't the two best teams playing. Say what you want about Trinity and X. The point, is the Pioneers did their job, which was playing the schedule given to them. They won four playoff games, all on the road. They deserve to be there, and I really don't see how you can argue that. It's one thing to be unhappy with how the playoff system works, but it's not right to discredit what SK has done.

 

I think (and hope) the game will be closer than many think. I think a lot of people are underestimating the Pioneer defense. But Trinity is still Trinity, so we'll see what happens.
