Agreed. If Highlands wants to prove they are the best, put Trinity and/or X on the schedule. And the "but we're only 3A" doesn't wash when you want to claim you are the best. Prove it on the field. I believe T and X would love to schedule that game every year considering they are having trouble finding opponents. But let's leave that for another thread. To the matter at hand, Highlands has done their part so Trinity needs to prove what themselves again tonight if they want to keep the "who is best" conversation going.

I know T wanted to play Highlands (a two year deal, home and home) and Highlands declined. And the thing is, T would really have everything to lose. Oh well.

The more I read about this the more I think this game could be a running clock. It will be very interesting to see how S-K responds if they fall behind early. One thing that people have not talked much about is T's absence of Carrico. It seems like he was THE lead blocker all year and he is out of commission..

Good luck Simon Kenton...............WE BELIEVE

Coach Marksbury said this in the Courier-Journal:

"I'm not going to give anybody any locker-room material, but our kids will be ready to play," Marksberry said. "We're not going to be blindsided."

And he also said this in the Enquirer:

"They can be run on," he said. "And if somebody's going to run on them, we've got somebody who can."

If there was ANY chance that Trinity's "D" didn't know who Miles Simpson was that just went out the window.

Thanks Coach

This game will be on the radio in Northern Kentucky on WIOK 107.5 FM

There's arrogance with NKY as a whole. I find this post quite amusing...

I find the whole thing amusing also..:thumb: Now that said:

GO PIONEERS!!!!:dancingpa

Does anybody know which side T has?

Trinity will be on the home side

Trinity will win but I believe it will be a close game. SK runs very well and that means ball control and controlling the clock, which means a short game. Kicking game and field position will be very important and whoever wins in those departments has the inside edge. Trinity's win last week was due, in large part, to the kicking game (opening kickoff return, Radclif's punt return and Robertson's kickoffs and punts) and great field position in the first half. Rocks don't want to get behind in these departments.

How is SK's kicking game?

After watching the replay of the SK/Male game, I would say Trinity has a huge advantage in the kicking game. SK used a lot of squib kicks on kick offs (probably to avoid Green). I could see them using this same tactic with Phillips/Melillo and Co. I could also see Trinity blocking a punt tonight, not b/c of protection, but b/c of the quality of long snaps. It just seemed like forever to get the punt off. And obviously Robertson for Trinity is a huge weapon.

I could see the Rocks gaining 30 yards of field position per special teams play. JMO

Off to the Oven, Let's go Rocks! Bring home #19. You guys are the best team in the State and have earned it. Now go out today and finish what you started last December.

Here is a picture taken at the last full-pads practice at Trinity on Thursday.

God was definitely watching his favorite team that day

I wonder if Coach Beatty might have something in the nature of a surprise in his offensive arsenal for SK? Just wondering.

That's a pretty image, All Tell.

Trinity in a rout.
