  1. There is a restriction rule for players and it comes from the khsaa. If you knew what was said TO THE Umpire you might agree with him. Hard to believe an Umpire from Northern KY would say there is no restriction rule.
  2. He will have good company this year with the addition of Tanner Norton. Norton came from Simon Kenton where he was an 8th grader playing varsity and was one of the top hitters on the team. He will be a great addition to that team. Look for him to be one of the best in the area as he gets older.
  3. I think anyone with $150. can get invited to this showcase.
  4. Go to kenton co school board web site, schedule is on there
  5. Simon Kenton will have 6 seniors returning, but only a few with much playing time. They will have a couple of pretty good pitchers that will probably be led by Tony Thornsburg and Ethan Ball along with Brent Hertzenberg. TJ Dawalt and Dirk Murray will lead the defense at third and SS. It should be an interesting season in the eighth.
  6. I couldn't agree more. The Smith kid is legit he is a division 1 player signed already with Morehead (I Think). I think a lot of this is a thing that if a coach likes you you will have some ink, if they don't like you then you have to get out and do your own recruiting to get what you want or sometimes deserve. Good luck to all !!
  7. I am with you , I will say SK 24-17. I think this game will be like the past three games. The difference in the two teams are, one teams expects to win (Trinity) and the other team WANTS to win. GO PIONEERS !!!!!!
  8. OK, Maybe 6'1-1/2", If he is not that I will buy your lunch. I agree about Ribinson. They are looking for him to be the leader on the mound. SK will have the leadership of 11 seniors on this team. They should be a favorite to win the 8th.
  9. Yes at the coaches meeting they were Cov Cath Ryle Boone Beechwood SK Dixie Scott Campbell Co. NCC Holy Cross
  10. Simon Kenton has a 3 junior pitchers that could have a very good season. Cox, Greiss, and Thornsburg. Thornsburg did not throw until late last season, he had shoulder surgery before the season and the coaches would not throw him. He has pretty good stuff and is looking forward to getting back on the mound. They are all 3 big kids, Cox is 6', Greiss is 6'5", and Thornsburg is 6'2". SK only lost 2 starters from last years region runner up team. They have 10 seniors and 9 juniors. They might make some noise this year.
  11. Congrats to payton, and I am sure that dad was very happy. One day you will see GP on a bench coaching a HS basketball team.
  12. I heard that only season ticket holders at Highlands would be able to purchase tix for that game until the morning of the game if there were any left. They were going to sell something like 1500 over max. capacity in the seats. I guess all others will have to stand.
