Weakside
WV pulls out a nice win to draw even with SK for the district. Payton Ponzer played an outstanding game and lead WV with 34 points.

madman
Great win for the "little guys". The dominance is over. Glad to see them pull it out even though I didn't think they could. Looks like Ponzer had a great night.:thumb:
Italian Stallion
Ouch. Didn't see that coming. How'd Nate Ponzer play?

I couldn't make it to the game tonight, but will give my congrats to Walton. Sounds like a great game by Payton Ponzer. Who from SK was guarding Payton tonight? Tiger1
I know Walton & SK split their games, but wouldn't SK still get the #1 seed based on points. Or, do they do it another way? Anyone know the formula?

Anyone know the formula? If Walton-Verona beats Williamstown then WV and SK will be tied for the district. If that happens, a coin toss will decide the winner. nkysportslegend
Great win for the Bearcats. Payton played like a man on the mission and had to have had a few people from the other team wishing they would have done somethings different in the past. SK tried to put Nathan on him but Walton screened almost everytime which resulted in a switch and once that happened he would score on whoever it was. He was hitting from the volleyball line. I do have to question some of the subbing by the Pioneers. Maegley may have led in scoring but when you turn it over as much and miss as many layups why keep him in. Also, don't really understand why they didn't try something a little different on Payton(probably wouldn't have mattered as he was shooting into the ocean tonight). *Jeanie*
Jeanie predicted right on, said walton by two, and they did. Huge win for walton. Great, great play by Payton Ponzer. Payton lead the team and helped SK lose their first district game since coming into the 8th region. Ponzer- 34 Kirk-9 Martin-12 Jones-17 This makes Walton and SK tied for first in the District. You're close Jeanie, Walton won by three. Still, a pretty good prediction.
