I think Trinity's biggest advantage willl be in special teams. SK has a lot of trouble punting and kicking off. Trinity ought to gain about 30 hidden yards every change of possession.

Yes, that will be an advantage but, I do not see SK kicking off often. They will punt it often though.

For anyone who really remembers the Ryle vs T game a couple of years ago, Ryle shot themselves in the foot in the first half more than anything. Dropping a pass that couldn't have been thrown better the first play that would have gone for 6, 2 uncharacteristic fumbles, shutting down the T receivers only to have Petrino scramble for 20 yards after not having an open receiver...and several others. Ryle also had a goal line stand from the 1 against the T offense. My point is as long as SK doesnt hurt themselves and become their own worst enemy they will stay in the game. They may not win but they will have the chance to in the end to pull it out

Now I know it was thrown to the guy "that could change directions in mid-air"......BUT he was rather slow....he MAY have scored but the jury's out on that....

We had 421 yards in 59 plays, to Ryle's 198 in 54...they had less than 3 yards per carry...and 4 out of 13 passes.....It was never going to be a nailbiter..

He would have been close to scoring. There was a T player there along with another Ryle receiver. It would have been close. But either way it would have been a great momentum booster...for the time being lol

If the player catches the first pass it opens up the run game just a bit more than when he dropped the pass. not saying we would have gained 200 more yards, but it sure would have helped a little bit. i would say probably 100 of those came from petrino scrambling when all the recievers were covered. t never got a great run game established, but their passes were great. they were timing routs that ryle wasn't used to defending. the game would have been much closer than the score appears if several things go the other way. if murray doesn't fumble 2 times then t gets the ball inside their own 20 instead of midfield/ryle 40

Unless I am mistaken - is that not what it is all about? How to adapt - who makes the fewest mistakes, who rises to the occasion, who is able to overcome their miscues?

Welcome to the bright lights of the 'Pizza box". Seems to be always a "reason" or explanation. "What if's" does not really mean or prove anything. Have to admire Ryle for their effort and for making the Final. But you know the result - no if's ands or buts.

Will Sat. night be simply a repeat of the 'hated' Rocks handily winning over the NKY Powerhouse of the DAy ???

While in the locker rooms are the waiting in hyperbolic oxygen filled chambers?

That was supposed to be a secret :sssh:

Just curious what kind of practice time the teams get on the PJCS turf? Has SK ever played there? When will SK arrive in Louisville?

Picked up my ticket this morning. Can't wait until Saturday night.

"GO ROCKS"

T by a landslide. Unfortunately for SK one player cannot win the state championship...

Rocks move into the USA Today Super 25 Poll at #13.

Being ranked in a National publication is nice, but it's really like regular season, non-district games. They don't mean much.

Has SK ever played there?

SK now has turf.

I'll take SK and here is why. I watched them go down 7-0 and 10-0 in the first quarter of their last 2 games and thought that was the end. They came back to dominate those 2 heavily favored opponents 42-0 in the next 3 quarters. I saw logical, straight shooting reasons why they would lose all 4 playoff games and the Campbell County game, all were wrong. A coin flip would have gotten you 40-60% better results. BTW predicting a 28-3 final would have been sufficient for a blow out, predicting 56-0 is just arrogant and insulting. Go Pioneers!!!!
