September 29, 200817 yr The Cats are going to take out the Tide and bust their way into the top 20 and the early lead for the SEC East :thumb: I don't see why not. The defense has played outstanding and even though they haven't faced a great offense yet, I believe their confidence is high and they'll be ready for this weekend's game.

A great defense can take you a long ways in football. I think it will be a great game.
September 29, 200817 yr Nice exposure for the Cats. SEC Announces Oct. 4 Football TV Selections I wonder if there is an outside chance ESPN's gameday crew could be there as well? Gameday will be in Nashville for Vanderbilt/Auburn
September 29, 200817 yr The only way UK stands a chance is to get a score on special teams, get a score on defense, and not turn the ball over. If that happens, they win.
September 29, 200817 yr I think UK's defense can keep them in the game. UK's D is absolutely increadible. I don't see a single weakness on D except maybe the Micah Johnson injury.
September 29, 200817 yr Kentucky's defense is great as long as they're not playing against the spread. Luckily for us, Alabama doesn't run a spread offense. Even though Kentucky really hasn't faced a team of the caliber of Alabama, I still think they can stop 'Bama.
September 29, 200817 yr Cats have there first huge test of the season as the travel to Bama. How will the Cats far? I really hope they win but I just don't see it happening. Bama 35 Cats 10
September 29, 200817 yr Before the season who would have thought we would be saying Kentucky @ #2 Alabama?
September 29, 200817 yr Chance for the Cats to pull off the huge upset. Obviously it can be done (see LSU 2007), I just don't think the Cats have the fire power that they did last year. Bama 27 UK 10
September 29, 200817 yr I'll be in Bama for this one. Should be a great tailgate. Anyone else going down? I'll be there. Wonderful stadium to watch a game.
September 29, 200817 yr I will make a prediction in a few days but I can tell ya that I think the game will be close.
September 29, 200817 yr Yeah, it's an unfortunate year for UK to be back to playing 'Bama. Ahh...we got LSU off the schedule. Not much difference there, IMO. The way college football is nowadays, and the fact that UK has significantly upgraded its talent level, they pretty much have a fighting chance on any given week. For UK to win... 1. 'Bama has to be flat coming off the big W @ Georgia. 2. UK has to be razor sharp on both sides of the ball and play with a higher intensity level that 'Bama has trouble matching. 3. The offense will have to play it's best game of the year and make some big plays. I don't see it happening. I'll take the Tide by a large margin and hope I'm wrong. 'Bama 38, UK 13
