September 29, 200817 yr UK-20 Bama-17 Bama misses tying field goal with under 1 minute left. UK gets the win and the defense keeps on rolling!
September 29, 200817 yr This Alabama team is for real, and I don't see Kentucky stopping that offense.. I'll say Bama, 35-10..
September 30, 200817 yr Bama is looking passed UK and beaten up from the brawl with the Dawgs... That said.. UK-20 Bama-18
September 30, 200817 yr It's the SEC anything can happen. Bama is prone for an upset. UK kicks a 40 yarder to win it. 13-10
September 30, 200817 yr UK's defense may give us a chance. Cant win it for us though. Hopefully, we will be there with a chance. All we can ask for is a chance.
September 30, 200817 yr I think it really hurts for us to be without Micah Johnson and Randall Cobb among others. Those 2 are big time talents for us and to be missing 2 players like that is tough. Let alone Ricky Lumpkin and Justin Jeffries. That being said I think our defense can hold them down. The key will be getting some 1st downs offensively, and avoiding 3 a lot of 3 and outs. We aren't going to score every drive, maybe not hardly ever, but 3 and outs will really hurt our defense if that happens constantly. I think UK will be competitive, but eventually fall. 20-13 Alabama Two huge losses for the Cats, in Cobb and Johnson. I think the Cats will hang in for most of the game and Bama will pull out the 27-14 victory. As long as they play decent and avoid more injuries, I believe thay will bounce back against USC and Arkansas at home to go 6-1 before they head off to the swamp.
September 30, 200817 yr UK 31 Alabama 14 All of a sudden, people start asking - "could this be the year?"
September 30, 200817 yr UK 31 Alabama 14 All of a sudden, people start asking - "could this be the year?" OK, now your smoking crack. I could maybe get on board with just the upset but a better then 2 TD win is just crazy.
September 30, 200817 yr OK, now your smoking crack. I could maybe get on board with just the upset but a better then 2 TD win is just crazy. :thumb: Go Cats!
September 30, 200817 yr I would love for the Wildcats to win. Will be rooting like heck for them. However, I think Bama is just a little bit better. Alabama 23-13.
September 30, 200817 yr Bama is certainly the better team. The only chance for UK though is for the D to keep playing the way it has been, and for Bama to have a let down after a big game against Georgia last week. It's happened numerous times to numerous teams, would be a good weekend for it to happen again.
September 30, 200817 yr Chance for the Cats to pull off the huge upset. Obviously it can be done (see LSU 2007), I just don't think the Cats have the fire power that they did last year. Bama 27 UK 10 I agree. This year's defense with last year's offense would have a GREAT shot. The offense, while improving, is nowhere near last year's. Can't lose guys like Woodson, Burton, Johnson, Tamme & Little and expect to be the same. But they are getting better.
September 30, 200817 yr Cat Fans...if you had the team you had last year and was playing this years Bama team I'd be worried, but I believe you lost too much talent. The Middle Tennessee game at home showed y'all have some problems. Maybe your QB is better than I've seen and I've seen several games. Tulane played us very hard and did a great job stopping the run. Some fans are saying we don't pass the ball very well, but the way we have been running it didn't need the pass. Do you think you could have put 30 points on Georgia at their place? Things to look for.....Our punt returner is very crafty and is hard to bring down. Like yourselves we use several running backs....If forced to pass we have a very tall freshman reciever who has great hands, we were 14-17 against the Dawgs and we have two tightends who also have caught several.....Place kicker is very good....Had a punt blocked last week so might not happen this week....Will blitz the young QB and if has to go out for anytime they know the backup hasn't played....Plays man to man on the wideouts which allows a pass rush....Under the Bear we lost two home games in Tuscaloosa...Bear isn't there anymore, but our coach who has seen some big games is. Good Luck and hope everyone enjoys the game.
