July 31, 200818 yr read on another site that the deal might be expanding too, who knows... as in the Reds shipping some relief pitchers too Pitching, why in the world would the Reds give up what little depth they are building in the organization at pitcher? Reds seem to be finally developing some pitchers I would hate to loose any........unless it is Gary Majewsk.
July 31, 200818 yr Author It looks like the two players involved are a 2nd baseman, and a pitcher. The Cincinnati Reds will get infielder Danny Richar and right-handed pitcher Nick Masset in the deal, according to sources. Cincinnati will also pay the remaining $4 million on Griffey's contract http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/story/10914920
July 31, 200818 yr mlb trade rumors says has an article with a guy from saying that Danny Richar and Nick Masset would be the return. Never heard of either guy
July 31, 200818 yr I can't believe they'd fall any. I mean, seriously, is there anyone out there these days that is buying a ticket to see Griffey fail to catch routine fly balls, generally not hustle, and hit under .250? Like a few others have mentioned...Yes people definitely go for Griffey.
July 31, 200818 yr Can we send Grif and Dusty straight up for Ozzie?[/QUOTE] Umm. No. Umm. I'd take him over Dusty in a blink. He'd make for some interesting interviews.

July 31, 200818 yr It doesn't matter. :thumb: Only stat that matters is their salary and years on contract in this deal.
July 31, 200818 yr It doesn't matter. :thumb:Like I said before this trade had nothing to do with getting value in return.
