Griffey is hittin .225 with 15 bombs and 53 rbis, Edwin has hit 20 bombs and has 43 rbis in the six hole while batting 260, if he hits 3rd he has well over 55 rbis, Votto, may have less homers but is hittin 270 and has close or over 40 rbis, he would have more if hitting third. Theres two players, ,Bruce would be a third if he had played all year.

As soon as you said Griffey is hitting .225 I stopped reading. If the first fact isn't right, no telling what else may not be either.

Why?

With Griffey gone and if Dunn goes they won't win the rest of this season.

They haven't won the 8 years they were here. Whats the difference?

I'm not saying it's not pathetic, just that cooperstown is off when he says Griffey isn't one of the best players on the Reds, because he is.

Never said he wasn't one of the best players on the all-powerful Reds. I responded to a post that implied (or at least to me seemed to imply) that he was still one of the best players in the game today.

And personally I'd put Votto, Encarnacion, Keppinger, Dunn, Phillips, Hairston, maybe Bruce, and Volquez ahead of Griffey on the Reds this year.

I meant 245.but if you want that from your 3 hitter thats fine, you will be as sucessful as the reds have been this season.

I agree 100 percent. Griffey is no where the Griffey of old, no reason for him to batting 3rd for anyone, even most triple A teams.

Why?

Because if they trade Dunn they are not interested in winning.

I am. And I'll be a very ticked off Reds fan if they trade Dunn.

Good point, but they will lose a lot more without them. They will be Nats bad.

Now that's just flat out silly....Look you guys don't like Griffey, I get it, but to say Bruce, Encarnacion, Keppinger are better than he is is just silly.

And they have been this decade? Come on.

Because if they trade Dunn they are not interested in winning.

What have they done in the past 8 years that has made you think they're interested in winning before?

I was a little overboard with Triple A, Didn't say either were better, but this year if you look at the numbers you would be silly to not think these three were better than him this year.

And I think you're still dreaming about the Griffey of yesteryear. The Griffey of today is a very average ballplayer.
