I am actually happy for both of those kids even though it sends the wrong message. I am glad they are able to play. Scott Co should run the table with these guys, Guyn, Phares, etc.... I mean come on.

He came from Boone County. Plays (or at least did play) on the same AAU team as Euton and Jackson. Strong shooter.

Well trust me, I do know all the details. I have also confirmed that is true. Both Jackson and Euton have been ruled eligible.

 

If this has happened, they have NOT been RULED eligible, they have been RECOMMENDED ELIGIBLE by the Hearing Officer. The case still goes to the Board of Control at its August meeting for a final decision according to earlier reports. The hearing officer in the Due Process cases does not make RULINGS, they make recommendations as I understand the process.

Then I have lost what little faith I had in KHSAA! This sends a message to everyone that if they move there kid for whatever reason(legit or not) that if they press the KHSAA hard enough then they will get their way.

 

 

Just explain one thing. How did the KHSAA do this? From what news accounts have said, the KHSAA staff ruled the students ineligible (which apparently is your opinion of the matter). The KHSAA Hearing Officer (who is not employed by KHSAA by is a retired Circuit Court judge as required by KRS Chapter 13B, not a KHSAA rule, but state law) makes a RECOMMENDATION of eligible. And this is the KHSAA's fault? I am not their staunchest defender, but your venom is aimed the wrong way.

This is what has been reported on the news too. I believe this is what some people had some problems with...why not go to a Lexington school....then dad stated in the papers that Scott Co was visted and chosen for athletic reasons.. The move was liget...I say let them play.
