Euton and Jackson ruled eligible

Featured Replies

Who ruled them eligible? The hearing officer or the Board of Control?

If it's just the hearing officer, that comes as no surprise.

They have not been ruled eligible, only recommended by the hearing officer. You are right, this is not really a surprise, the board of control will make the decision next month. I would venture to guess that one will be in and one will be out.

I tend to agree with you on the one and one. I look forward to the this decision next month.

If they both are ruled eligible then this will open up the flood gates for everyone who wants to transfer for Whatever reason will have to be allowed to . The Khsaa will loose so much respect if they allow them to play. I'm wondering if money was responible for ruling to go there way or if UK had some input in it . Once again if you have a name for yourself then you can get away with anything in this country .

Give me a break. Transfers have been going on for years, and will continue no matter how this situation turns out. The only reason people are complaining is because of where they came from, where they are going, and because they are high profile players. The 16th region in particular has had tons of transfers over the years. When I was in school, I had two classmates that both came from CK in WV. I'm sure you remember both Kelly Cutwright and Chuck Cantrell. I can go on and on. Rose Hill has a young lady transferring to Ashland this year to play for the Kittens. I don't hear any fuss about her? Why is that?

In case you haven't noticed it is happening all over the place right now. Tate Cox transferred from June Buchanon to Knott Co. and is eligible.

Housley from Newport transferred to Cov. Holmes. If I'm not mistaken he is eligible. Last year Josh Whitaker and Robert Warren transferred from Bell Co. to Hazard and were eligible. Vee Sanford transferred from Lafayette to LexCath (about a mile away) and is eligible. The Johnson boys transferred to Cov. Holmes from Taft in Cinncinatti and they were eligible. The list goes on and on. 3 of the teams I mentioned who got transfers just fairly recently made it to the final 8 at the Sweet 16. As far as I am concerned they may have all had legitimate reasons to move.

I am sure in time when you put that information on the girls forum, there will be fuss and comments.

Pressrow, didn't a player from Lexington transfer to Mason Co last year and play?I can't remember his name.

This is what has been reported on the news too. I believe this is what some people had some problems with...why not go to a Lexington school....then dad stated in the papers that Scott Co was visted and chosen for athletic reasons.. The move was liget...I say let them play.

Phil Barner is his name.

For all of you folks with this inside information, Mr. Euton does not work at Toyota, never was called by, nor visited Toyota. Just goes to show how rumor and hearsay spread. Once again, I'm glad for the boys.

On a related note, Mrs. Euton, as I've been told, has considered buying a Camry due to gas prices.;) Perhaps there's the correlation.

There have been many players transfer in to Scott County, however there has been just as many transfer out. Transfers happen all over the state every year. The flood gates have been open for may years. Perhaps you just started to notice?

Might be tough getting a 6'8 kid in that car though. LOL  Good stuff Spindoc.

Why do you feel that way? How can you say that Euton's move wasn't legit? I also feel if you knew the reason behind Jackson's move, you would feel the same way.

I haven't been keeping up with this situation.

What is the reasoning behind Jackson's move?

I am not aware of the whole situation, but the part they showed on the news in Lexington showed her talking about some trouble her other son had gotten into. Thus she felt it would be better to move away from where all the problems stem from. If I am not mistaken they also have family in the Georgetown area and thought it would be a great place to start over.
