April 13, 200818 yr Old Taylor Grocery, locating in Taylor, Mississippi. "The best fried catfish in the south" Ajax in Oxford, MS is awesome too. If you ever get a chance to go get a Big Easy, it's a dish that Olivia Manning always made for Eli that Ajax began making for Eli when he would miss his mother's food. Eli's nickname was "The big E", thats where the Big Easy came from when they named the dish.
April 13, 200818 yr We have one in NKY....yummy. My favorite pizza place (which I don;t think thay have around here anymore) is Mr Gattis. We went to Gatlinburg last month, and had some there. I forgot how good that place was. I agree, I cant believe the Mr Gattis in Crescent Springs went out of business. We also have stopped at the one in Gatlinburg and it was a great reminder of the food we loved so much. Does anyone know of, or remember of, a Gattis anywhere else? The pizza sauce was unique and I loved it. It was always crowded back when we frequented there. Cant believe it went out of business.
April 13, 200818 yr The have a Gatti's in Elizabethtown that still has one of the largest arcades I've been in. Louisville and Draffenville still have a Mr. Gatti's.

April 13, 200818 yr There is a Gattiland in Ashland, our softball team goes there every year when we go down to the Derby Classic. I remember the Mr. Gatti's in Cresent Springs too it was much better than the one in Ashland, or maybe my tastebuds have changed over the years, the kids seem to like it.
April 13, 200818 yr Pasquale's in Bellevue has great subs and pizza along with Larosa's in Newport and Alexandria. Long Horn in Cold Spring has good steaks and the Texas chesse fries are awesome. Dixie Chili in Newport has the best cheese coney's. Used to be a place called Crystal Chili - they has good cheese coney's too. The best burger I would have to give that to Applebee's. Now by far, IMO the best breakfast is the Waffle House.

April 13, 200818 yr My favorite place to eat out in Lexington is Merrick Inn. You have to have reservations, but in the summer time I love eating out on their patio...you don't have to have reservations for it. In Winchester, my favorites are Southwind golf course, great steaks and ribs grilled outside. South Main grocery... a small country grocery that serves great sandwiches and a different hot meal each day. One of those places that all the locals go to, and no one else know about it. Also like Halls on the River. Great catfish and famous for their beer cheese, and has a very nice patio overlooking the Ky river for summer meals.

April 13, 200818 yr I'm always down for some T Bell. I always think I'm down for some Taco Bell, but then afterwards, I always end up wondering what the heck was I thinking? :lol:
