April 15, 200818 yr Aunt Catfish in Daytona Beach and the Snook Inn at Marco Island ae my two favorite places. Whenever I'm in Florida, I detour to these places.
April 15, 200818 yr P.F. Chiang's is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Louisville or Cincinnati. They have great lettuce wraps and dan-dan noodles. A word to the wise is their servings are big enough for 3 people. Mark's Feed Store in Louisville and Lexington. They have great barbecue and the best buttermilk pie. Ruby Tuesdays and The Chimney Corner in Ashland. If you've ever been to Ashland and didn't stop at Crisp's Dairy Treat and have a hotdog, you would be missing out. I know of a doctor from Scotland that would visit Ashland once a year. The first stop from the airport would be Crisp's for a hotdog with everything on it including slaw. You know there is a PF Changs in Lexington now too, right?
April 15, 200818 yr Some friends and I tried to go to one of those places on the down there a few years ago and they were getting ready to close and didn't get to go. It hasn't crossed our minds to go back since then but really need to get there and try it. If you go to a nice restuarant the servers are usually very knowledgeable about wines. The servers are Merrick Inn are probably the best in Lexington. They've had good training (from my wife )! But seriously, most of the non-chain restaurants in Lexington have servers that know what they are doing when it comes to wine. Plus, if you use a little common sense, you will know what to order (white with pasta, chicken. Red with meat, etc.)
