To be honest, I have no idea which team is stronger. It just sounded good. I also don't know who has more heart but went with popular conceptions. I left out the home field advantage for Bell also. It still adds up to a Catholic win to me. May come down to the judgment calls by the officials, which I hope isn't the case. I wish I could make the game. Best of luck to both teams.

While "on paper" Lex Cath should win this game, I wouldn't count Bell County out. This Highlands fan has nothing but respect for both programs and both coaches. LexCath may be the more talented team and does play together very well, but beating Bell on Log Mountain is no easy task. I'm not making any accusations against Bell and the condition of the field; I don't need to as it is going to rain this week and with Bell's field being somewhat cut into the side of the mountain, its only logical that it will be a swamp this Friday. That will greatly negate Lex Cath's speed advantage. Close game to call, but I'm going with Bell since the game is at Bell.

How many Seniors does Catholic have? Also how many games have they played on grass?

Ohhhh No. Not the grass issue again. Should've asked, "How many games played on wet grass with a little mud for the recipe of sloppy track?"

Just kidding...

Why? Is is supposed to rain, or is there going to be a fire that needs putting out very close to the field?:D

I would love to see Bell Co. come up to the hilltop next week. So I am pulling for the Bobcats.

Hey if it was a math equation to work out my money would be with LexCath. It should be a very good football game. I don't think that either team can come into a game like this cocky and be successful. It will be a great atmosphere and I for one am excited about being in town for this one!

I'm surprised that Dudley is not playing this game on Thanksgiving night like he did to Highlands a few years back. Dudley uses any thing he can to get a edge and you can't blame him, it all about w's for him.

The last time Bell played a spread team all four of the wideouts were out by the third quarter. Also another interesting titbit this season the Bobcat defense has knocked out 5 of the 12 QB's for a number snaps or the rest of the game. This bunch will hit you.

If Lexington Catholic's Iseral, and Guy have no footing to make any cuts, IMO this puts the advantage on the Bobcats side.

Yeah, I think they have a rain cloud that will set in probably for a couple hours friday morning.

In order for Bell to win they need to cut out personal fouls and unsportsman like conduct. They also need to tell their fans to quit "SPITTING" on the visitors........ this has happened every time in Bell from back into the 1980's and I think it is very disgusting

I could comment with your last sentence BOOM but I will leave that alone. The last time Bell played a spread team all four of the wideouts were out by the third quarter. Wow, so let's see what Catholic is in for so far if we listen to this thread...1) a purposefully watered down field, 2) personal fouls, 3) spitting fans, 4) an opposing coach that will do anything to win, 5) Field Assassins and 6) a partisan group of zebras.

My personal opinion is to believe half of what you hear, and never believe the hype - simply do this, never tell them how good you are, just show them. I am looking forward to coming to Bell County and watching a great football game. Good luck to both teams.

I'm pretty sure no one can play on Thanksgiving Day, KHSAA banned it.

The field is not muddy or even in bad shape at all. It will be slower than turf but it wasn't wet or muddy all night last week. Unless it rains a lot it shouldn't be a factor because Bell County has tarps to cover the majority of the field, plus it rained a lot last week and like I said the field was in fine shape.

“They’re a good, solid football team with a whole bunch of seniors,” Hilton said. “They’re a private school and get their pick of everybody in Lexington. We’ve had big private schools here before so that’s not anything new for us.”

It seems fititng that what he referred to himself as "the winningest public school coach in Kentucky" plays the Privates.

Their pick of everybody in Lexington? Gee, Henry Clay must be doing amazing stuff with all the scraps they have.

Amazing ... the sad part is that some of the natives probably believe it.

One other thing ... which "big private schools" have been there before?

Weak, IMO...
