  1. Excuse me for asking but what did he do in the first half that had Corbin up 16-7 at the half? It seems to me that Corbin couldn't capitalize when they had the chance. No one player won or lost the game for Corbin they lost this game as a team. No excuses here NCC was better team on this night.
  2. I'm surprised that Dudley is not playing this game on Thanksgiving night like he did to Highlands a few years back. Dudley uses any thing he can to get a edge and you can't blame him, it all about w's for him. Bell co 28 LC 24
  3. Can Any NCC fans on here that can tell me where Frank Jacobs and Nick Sandfoss are, they played on the NCC team that came to Corbin in 86 and beat them. From what i remember Frank Jacobs was a man among boys and Nick Sandfoss had speed to burn. Do any of the 07 NCC players have speed comparable to Sandfoss. I'm looking forward to the trip north and hope that the game will be as good as advertised. GO Hounds!!!!!:walk:
  4. Dudley will have them mountain boys ready for the road this year!
  5. OC Corbin Danville NCC Bardstown Trigg Co Murray Leslie Co Glasgow Prestonsburg Middlesboro OC Vs. Corbin in 2A Finals
  6. Your comment about bringing shame to the Corbin team and Community is so far out in left field that it is almost down right hiliarious. Not playing Bell Co. will not make or brake this team or community. I think you need to keep things in perspective when talking about the rich tradition of Corbin Football. Corbin was fine before playing Bell Co. and they will be fine not playing Bell Co. To say that Coach Jewell has brought shame upon a community and HIS Team by not playing Bell Co. is again RIGHT DOWN HILIAIROUS. I think that you need to relax a little and enjoy life a little more and not take this stuff so serious. Your comment about Corbin dominating Southeast Kentucky football is a pipe dream, times have changed and so do the expectations of the Corbin FANATICS need to. Kids these days are not the same as they were back in the 70's and 80's when Corbin was dominate, not to mention that on most every Corbin State Championship team you had kids that were from the Tri County Area not just Corbin. This is in no way a dig at Corbin for having those kids from other schools playing for them, but I believe the success that Corbin was having in the 70's and 80's was a big reason that alot of those kids came and played for the Corbin Program. Also you have what I call the Billy Hicks effect on this community, he came here and turned this community from a Football community to also a Basketball community. With all that said this is Coach Jewells team and the reasons for him dropping Bell Co. from the schedule is HIS decision. The reasons behind it are alot deeper than you know.
  7. I think the final score was a good indication of how close these two teams were matched. The difference in this game was Russell's experience against Corbin's youth. How can you question the play calling of Ivan (the great) it looked to me that he knew exactly what he was doing. I believe Russell has a few more weapons than just Kasey (Look at me) Clark, don't know the Clark kid and this was the first time I seeen him play but you only get one chance to make a first impression and listening to the Corbin fans they were not overly impressed by Clark, it seems that he is more about himself than his team. I was very impressed by the QB he was very hard to tackle for the Corbin players. It was great to see that they are other communities out there that take pride in there F-Ball Programs. Cudos to the Russell fans you are a classy bunch. Go Red Devils! Defend The R! Bring it back to Flatwoods!
  8. If you want to compare records make sure you are compairing apples to apples when it comes to the competition that the teams are competing against. If GC, WC, or CC played the Redhounds schedule over the last four years they would have alot fewer victiories than what you show.
  9. I agree that Josh Sanders runs with alot of heart and grit but Nick Cobb was a whole lot better back than him. If not for the injuries Nick would have been a very special back. Nick Cobb was a natural a runner as there has been at Corbin, he could see things that alot of backs couldn't.
  10. Hounds started out of the gate fast but then kinda feel into a funk. I felt like they should have beaten LCA by at least 4 td's but couldn't take advantage of turnovers. Cashen therw ball alot better tonight because he had more time to throw, Maden looked good in the passing game. Sanders carried the ball 20 -25 times tonight. Young team that will get better as season progress. Tough games ahead with Bell and middlesboro next two weeks need to at least split with them.
