Oh now I remember, they should have been up except for a few bone head blunders. How could I forget? Regrettably the pain of that evening is coming back to me in vivid fashion. We gave the game away that night as much as HHS won it and most honest HHS fans would admit it. I was confused and thinking of the Beechwood game that we blew also. Luckily though our teams seems to have put those less than appealing times behind us.

I remember Dixie getting smeared by Highlands. Dixie scored and had the ball at the end of the second quarter with an opportunity to tie the game, but then let Highlands up the sidelines for a big gain, and Highlands continued that momentum into the second half.

Bucky is one heckuva a back, but I wouldn't be surprised to see senior Brent Buckley get the majority of the carries against Dixie. :sssh:

As for the game, while a lot has been made about Bucky returning I don't really think that will be a determining factor if CovCath wins. CovCath can only win if their O line and defensive secondary have dramatically improved. Bucky is a very good back but without better O line play it won't be near enough. And with Dixie's improved ability (or willingness:D) to run the ball, it will put even more pressure on CovCath's secondary which wasn't the stoutest to begin with. If CovCath's O line has improved considerably and Bucky can grind it out and keep Dixie's high powered O off the field and CovCath's pass defense can at least slow them down, then CovCath can win. If those things don't happen, then Dixie wins again and maybe big.

 

I think the offensive line has improved alot. I am not so sure about the secondary. You are right on when you say controll the ball offensively and keep Dixies offense in check by keeping them off the field. If that does not work, CCH had better hope they do a better job in the secondary than they did the first game. Poor play in the secondary is what cost CCH the game in the regular season.

Spritz is a good guy, but he had this deep down burn in his belly when it comes to Cov Cath and HHS. He, a Highlands boy himself has learned to be against Cov Cath from the get go. Now at Dixie, I will give it to him that he atleast has the guts to schedule highlands and did, in fact beat them once if memory serves right. I was pulling for Dixie because I honestly am scared to play Cov Cath again, but now I think it would be better because I know that between me, Sandman, and a few others, we could heat up a HHS/Dixie thread pretty quick next week. I change my vote, I vote for Dixie to win now.:fight:

Please, do tell more. I always find it funny how these types of things always seem to come out at the most inopportune times such as the eve of the biggest playoff game in NKY. Are he and Holly buying a new house in Edgewood or Villa Hills If he needs any help moving I have a bunch of friends with pickup trucks that would be more than happy to help..... as long its within the borders of Kenton Co. that is.

Are you saying he is going to CCH to take the job there????? I wouldn't see that. Don't worry Sandman, I can't see Spritz leaving Dixie now. They are on the move. Next year could be their year, or the year after.
