Boston Red Sox 2007 World Series Champions

Featured Replies

Without the 8 day layoff this would have been a longer series, but it still would've had the same outcome. The Sox were just too talented for the rockies. This has got to be disappointing for Rockies fans.

So did Varitek keep the baseball after the strikeout and will the team let him keep it or act like a bunch of babies like they did a couple of years ago?

I knew that they would easily handle the Rockies. BoSox were just the better team, plus the days off didn't help the hot Rockies.

What were the ratings?

I know the ratings for the Arizona/Colorado NLCS were some of the lowest in history.

As for this World Series, I found this article:

Red Sox Nation was indeed watching last night as Boston crushed Colorado 13-1 in the World Series opener at Fenway Park in Boston.

Fox drew an 11.8 Nielsen rating in large markets for the first game between the Rockies and Red Sox, up 37.2 percent from last year's first game between St. Louis and Detroit which aired on a Saturday night. Last year's World Series, a five-game win by the Cardinals, was the lowest-rated Fall Classic ever.

Man, if only the Red Sox didn't slump at the end of the year they might have accomplished something this year....:rolleyes::rolleyes:

That was in the back of their heads, said the pundits, So they just went out and pretty much dominated all the way through the playoffs!

Signed,

One Happy Sox Fan!

The best thing about this, the Yankee nation led by the egomaniac is developing ulcers right now. Two WS championships since the Yankees won it last. THAT IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!

When are we going to see a good Series again?

3 of the last 4 have been sweeps and the other was a 4-1 series.

WOW!!!! Who knew we had so many RedSox fans here on BGP. I know 2 or three of you were Boston fans, but the bandwagon seems unusually more occupied this morning.

I wonder what kind of dance Papelbon will do this time?

He and Beckett were suppose to do the River Dance. Did they do it on camera last night?

:thumb::thumb::laugh: Exactly what I was thinking ! Some that haven't posted for the Sawx all season are all of a sudden life long fans. :D

Anyway, Congrats to the Red Sox and their fans, especially their BGP fans. Joe's Gym.......Congrats from this Yankee fan and we will get ya next season ;). Joe is one that posted for the Sox all season. :thumb: ....to the bandwagon Sox fans, ...not so much :D.

I thought that the 8 day layoff really hurt Colorado but imo it wouldn't had changed the outcome of the series at all, the Rockies may had won a couple, I don't know.

Bottom line is the Red Sox were the best team in baseball this season.

Yep, I said it and I have to go puke now... :thumb:

Now.........Excuse me for now for a while as I hunt for a Red Sox avatar. :sssh::sssh:...............................NOT!!!!!
