youknowme
I think this is a great movie. Anybody else watched it? Enjoy it? Starring Kathy Bates (awesome in the movie!) & James Caan. Novelist Paul Sheldon (Caan) crashes his car on a snowy New England road. He is found by Annie Wilkes (Bates), the "number one fan" of Paul's heroine Misery Chastaine. Annie is also somewhat unstable, and Paul finds himself crippled, drugged and at her mercy.

lionfan13
Great movie! I love when he crams the ashes from the manuscript down her throat in the end. True poetic justice.

owsleyking
I loved the book (Stephen King). As with all movies,it falls short of the book.I WILL say this..of all the movies made from a King book, this comes the closest to capturing the mind of Stephen King (scary isn't it??)..and the casting was superb...Kathy Bates was the perfect pick..unlike some of the characters in the Stand (Molly Ringwald as Franny....COME ON!!!!!) A good movie,Scarface..not one of my favorites, but a good movie nonetheless!!!

lionfan13
Try the 'Stand' and 'Hearts in Atlantis'...think you might like both..then go from there! The Stand mini-series was awesome. Casting was perfect. Followed the book to the letter. Pretty hard considering the length of the book.
