North Laurel 8 Greenup Co 4

Recommended Posts

Yes. He was excellent through 4, but struggled with his control much of the night, especially in the later innings.

I agree. It was the 3rd or 4th inning (I believe) before North got a hit off of him. I think the tight strike zone impacted Hieneman more than Evans for North. I thought both pitchers looked solid thru 4 innings. When I got there Greenup led 1-0 and it looked like that could end up being the final. Then Hieneman started to walk batters and North Laurel had some timely hits, and the Musketeers started hitting Evans to make it a 4-4 game. There weren't many errors in this game, I just thought that North was more patient at the plate in the final few innings and that was the difference.

A little suprised by the score but, baseball starts with pitching and if your pitcher is not throwing strikes and walking people it makes that much harder for your team to win. Good luck to Wright tonight as GC is on the bubble. :thumb:
